Introduction: Hello, my name is Shawn. I als go my in game name, smkorpi, or smk. I am a sophomore in highschool in all honors classes with A's and B's, I am involved in many school groups such as band, wind ensemble, science club, robotics, and soccer; but none of this gets in the way of my time I spend on meep.

Why should you be Helper? I have had a weak spot for meepcraft ever since I joined and even after some rough incidents, I still always come back. I feel that one of the things that make me different from most other applicants is just how much I care about the server that I've spent a majority of my free time on over the last 3 years.

I can also go into the great aspects and formats I've seen over my time watching forums, and found that dedication, experience, and listening to others to be my strong suits.

My dedication to meepcraft has been shown through the multiple number of years that I've spent here, and very greatly through the fact that I've purchased ranks using my own money. I enjoyed participating in the townhall meetings and trying to offer solutions I think would best help the server.

My experience in minecraft as a game is pretty great, proof being decent at skyblock. And I could answer almost a majority of people's questions about the game. I also have experience with commands and how meep works through my time playing here. While I do not have the same amount of time and experience that others have in towns, I excel with knowledge regarding the commands in skyblock.

Finally, my ability to listen is something I think all helpers should have. When I am told something to do, I will either will do it to the best of my ability. I feel some ways that I could contradict this would be the questions I ask if there is a better way, but I will still follow directions.

What are your weaknesses? Oh, how I could fill this section.

In the past I have had some issues with staff due to rules I didn't agree with. This hasn't been an issue for over 3 months, but I wanted to mention it.

Also in the more recent past I've had problems with one or two particular players, many of you may have seen these in global, and even asked me to stop. I was very immature to argue or debate in global, and I am sorry. I have been working on this weakness the most, as this is something that would be a big fat no for a staff member.

My final weakness I sort of mentioned in the Why section of my application, I often question things. Whether this be anything from wondering why this was the best idea to nearly defying authority, I do not personally think this would be a huge issue. But if my questioning is too much, I will stop when asked.

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: I have been banned a couple of times in the past. These include one griefing, one scam, one for no reason, and one for arguing / staff disrespect (I'm guessing the reason was staff disrespect, I was not online when I was banned, nor did I ever see the message). All of these bans aren't good things, but I've learned from all of these mistakes. I took from the staff disrespect that even if I'm technically right, I need to learn that sometimes you just don't get your way. My scam ban (which was a complete misunderstanding and a ban over 300 meebles) I learned that to avoid trouble sometimes you have to give a little. From the griefing ban I learned to sign off when I am that aggravated, and to be nicer to others even when you were done wrong.

Overall, The thoughts of being a staff member has for the last two years been a huge goal of mine, and this will be my first try.

I am open to criticism in my comments, please do not +1 just because you like me, but give a reason or weakness that I missed. I am not confident this application will be accepted, so I hope to get as much to work on as possible.

You're constantly looking to pick fights with everyone from what I have seen, both on the forums and in-game. You have a history of constantly pushing the line.

Nice to see the huge amount of effort you're putting in to this, writing the application on your phone. Always put time and tought into your application, and always have someone else read it over for grammar mistakes.

To top it off you're unbelievably arrogant. Has the thought ever crossed your mind that, sometimes, you are incorrect. You are not always technically right. There is just no reality where I could ever see you mingling well with any staff team.

Actually, that would be a major issue.

Hey, I am a -1 right now mainly due to your application and some of your recent forums posts.

Your application is weak and could use more details in the introduction and 'Why?' section. In addition, some of your forums posts make it somewhat questionable as to if you will be able to get along and work with the current staff team.

I agree with you, I should have checked this over multiple times for grammar mistakes, sorry.

The situation where I was referring to, the ban was a result of someone getting mad at me and then lying to staff to get me banned. I don't think I can be defined as arrogant when I had proof in that situation I was in the right. I'm sorry if you take this as an argument, it isn't meant to be anything other than an explanation.

Very strategic quoting, you would make an amazing journalist. I meant for the "not a big problem" to be for the questioning to be an issue since I would listen when told no. Next time I'll be more careful to illicit what was going through my mind.

Hello korpi!!

So here's where I'm at with you. It's really awesome to speak french with someone who actually understands it and I really do like you trust me, but I'm just not feeling it with this app yo. You could have done so much more with it. Go SOO in depth with your weaknesses and leave nothing out because in the long run those are the things that could cause you to mess up and we need to know that going in.

^^ I agree with this, mainly your "why". Some example on how to improve this are as follows.

• What sets you apart as a community member. List traits examples etc.
• Why are you applying? What do you bring to the team.
• What in the past suggests you'd be a good staff member?
• Work Ethic?? What is it like, are you determined? Why should we believe you
• What would you accomplish as a member of the team.

I am at a -1 as of right now, have a good day and never stop trying!!

Saying Delta is ugly and other nasty things, then applying two weeks later will get you a

My minimal experiences ingame with you included defying the staff and creating a toxic environment.

-1. Improve your character ingame, work on the wording in your application.

Self explanatory... typically people care if they want to apply for staff...

This is a TOWNY server... while the skyblock knowledge isn't bad, Meep is primarily a towny server.

Not a good thing to mention. It only reflects poorly on yourself.

Work on your maturity. If there is an issue with a rule or player, take it to the forums. /g is not a place for that kind of crap.

Another big no-no. Your superiors are going to tell you to do things and you're expected to do them. Defying them isn't an option.

Ego problem much?

Doesn't matter the value, it's the concept that is going to get you in trouble.

You've learned to sign off, but you make a big deal when you don't get your way or someone is annoying you in /g. Grow up and take a break before you complain about them in /g and rage quit for the night.

I'm not going to bring our history into this, but I am a +/-, I would gladly put a +1 if you help out in global and become more active.

 

Based off of the application, what you need to do is:

*Listen to others
*Humble yourself and see the issue from their side (there is a point where it doesn't matter if you were right, let go).
*Get experience in helping in global chat.
*Give a better reason as to why you should be a helper and what you would do for people in that position.
*Show good behavior longer.
*Discussings before you act.

The last point has to do with the idea of defying orders to do what you feel is best. Completing an action in the best way works, but there may be a reason you're told to do something in a specific way. Discussing allows the other person and you to choose the best way to complete the task.

People can't trust you if they feel like your good behavior is specically for this application. Demonstrate your good behavior longer so it becomes habit and a more permanent change in character.

Fix these things and then I might think about supporting your application.

I feel like the discussion bit blew up in a bad way because of my poor word choice. I probably said it better in my Why section that I usually ask/offer a better solution if I thought of one or just do what I told, either way I still do what I was told. It was mostly poor word choice, but I made a lot of mistakes in this app and you made a nice list for me to work on. Thank you

I don't feel like going into the personals of all of my bans in this thread, but I would be happy to explain the whole situation as accurately as possible so I can show you some of the bans were truly misunderstandings. I'll explain them truthfully and let you make a decision if a convo if you'd like me to.
I mainly included the previous bans sections to show how I've not been making the same mistakes more than once and that I do improve on my faults, not to show that I'm a terrible person scamming people and disrespecting staff left and right.
