Meep Fair

The World Fair is coming to meep! Once per month (Date released by "Meepcraft Times") A town will be hosting it. The host town will build a large (futuristic) build. Each town (that wants to) will have a chance to build a pavilion representing their town inside of this building. Residents of every town can run around exploring the host town, their new cool build and all the pavilions representing many of meep's towns inside of it. The host town gets to nomite the next town to hold it! I, representing mooville will hold the firstly monthly Meep fair.(Probably sometime in September, date will not be released yet.)

Just taggin a few people who I think might have interest in this

 

can you be nominated multiple times? if so can the same "futuristic building" or pavilion be used multiple times?

Craftington may be interested in hosting when our new town is built...

this seems like a cool way for people to find towns to join... maybe just build an enormous building and each town that gets nominated can build their pavilion... we could then have a warp to it so people can see which towns they want to join

I just think that monthly is a bit too often. Maybe you could do it every season (4 times per year) and give the towns more time to prepare and make the event even more spectacular!

The date will be decided by the host town (within a reasonable range) and will be announced by the meepcraft times, it could be more than a month length

Th pavilions would be small(about a 1/4-1/2 plot I thought) and would be built a few days before the event. The pavilions would represent every town (that wanted) an beta meep. Not just the host town.

Edit: @Photoave12 this is not supposed to be a competition, simply an event in which towns get together. You own a fairly large town that gets a lot of attention and will likely be nominated in the first few so don't worry.

thats not want i was suggesting , i was just thinking maybe instead of having to constantly rebuild large buildings, we make one of your "futuristic buildings" and each month or so, a town is nominated to add a pavilion (if they want). then we can do the once a month thing and smaller towns can participate without high expenses.

the warp is just so players can explore it anytime and find a town.

maybe we could include [Town] Signs in each pavilion and have one for alpha and one for beta?

 

A world’s fair is a gathering of people from many parts of the world, at which they demonstrate their products and their arts, and promote their homelands.

In case you didn't know, that's what a world's fair is.

Pavilions would just be small building INSIDE of the big building in the HOST town.

The big building would only be built ONCE THE TOWN IS NOMINATED. Only the HOST town will build it.

We may run events, they have not been decided yet.

Small towns are welcomed to build pavillions inside the host town's building but it is unlikely for them to be nominated to host for a while.

I hope that clears up a few things.

This would be a really neat idea, save for one thing: the big building. Why should the host town invest a good deal of money into a building if they can only host once? Logically, the fair should switch towns every time, so why not just make it outdoors? In my opinion, the host town should prepare however they see fit.

 

Probably unless your having the majority of the fair near the town spawn in which case just have signs leading to it.

I guess it could be outdoors but that would take a tonne of space and it would seem a lot cooler if you put in a huge building. This could be an alternative for smaller towns though.

Multiple stories.

 

If it were multiple stories, how would the various people have access to only their stuff? If they really do build little stalls, then they'd all have to have access to the same plot.

 

It wouldn't be only one plot, probably like 4-9 but we are trusting on the honesty of other mayors. If you are that worried just make a chestshop so only you can activate it.

Edit:We can make some sort of contract for participating in the pavillion building if that helps.
