Perk Boosters - EULA Compliant Perks Idea

So all those super helpful perks were removed because they break the EULA, right? Let's bring them back but in a way that does not break the EULA!


I'll give an example right away since I can't think of a better way to explain.

Let's say I buy a Fly Perk Booster for $10. This booster would last 20 minutes and it's activated as soon as it's purchased. Now, I'm not just buying fly for 20 minutes for myself, but for everyone.

Once the booster is activated, EVERYONE on the network would gain the perk for the booster that I purchased. It would display a message in chat like "Bloopers just bought a Fly booster for 20 minutes! Say thanks!" and then everyone would get to fly for 20 minutes in Spawn, Wild, Alpha and Beta(and anywhere else that fly used to be allowed that i can't remember.)

The costs and times may be different but there would be boosters for:

Feed(not going hungry for however long the booster lasts)
Fix(no durability lost for however long the booster lasts)
Fly(flight for however long the booster lasts)
Heal(access to /heal like it used to be for however long the booster lasts. would have a cooldown of course)

and more! (maybe a minigame multiplier booster could be added too, to combat having to remove the rank multipliers in boomo and such)


Remember, this doesn't break the EULA because you purchase this for everyone, not just yourself!

Maybe there could also be a way to buy a booster for meebles, I don't know.

 

If we add this we'll have officially gone from the world's largest towny server to the world's most desperate hub server

 

why is that? i think that this is a work-around the issue that we are all having and people would be happy with it.

also something like the minigame booster could direct people to a certain game and there would be more activity in the minigames which are often empty

 

Tbh, this is a great suggestion. But I'm curious if this actually complies with the EULA. +1 if it complies.

I think that the server should look as this as an opportunity. Instead of trying to grasp on something we'll never get back in the way we had it, perhaps use this as an excuse to move the server in a different direction.

IE: Fix got removed, that sucks. However, it opened up an entire new section of economy.

If feed is gone, that's another economic opening.

If Spawners are gone, that further drives prices up in a meaningless section of the eco.

Given the lackluster performance of the server even when the perks were intact, I think that trying it slightly different simply couldn't hurt worse at this point.

 

I've seen an idea like this in the past with beacon buffs like Haste or Speed. Players can buy a round for everyone in that world for an hour of that buff. Great idea! I'm excited to see how it's implemented. +1.

 

The idea isn't bad, but I feel as if people would constantly be donating for these buffs, and having perks for everyone means that the game isn't fun at all. The buffs need to come in moderation, say once every month or two.

I wasn't saying that we should have fly for a month or two, but to have fly once a month, or once in every two months.

+1/2 I think that we could make it so let's say a cit buys a booster, everyone gets that bonus. If a vip buys a booster, vip+ get that bonus. It would make you want to donate. Although, this is probably agianst the Eula. Also @Deinen is right, maybe we can make it so the cosmetics are the coolest things ever and also maybe make a new perk such as one that no server I know of has done before. You could chose between a variety of texture packs meep gives you with /texturepack or maybe /text. Maybe we could have it so donors can make it be snowing or raining on their plots. Maybe we could make it so donors can go to the "black market" and see a bunch of people who want to trade like a market center. Cits could still trade with these people here but donors when they make their stands can customize it so it stands out and possibly helps their business with marketing (like making the sign neon green or something.)

are you still interested in sharing the better ways? the server can very much benefit if you share an idea better than this
