Introduction: Hello! My name is Chris, and I am applying for a position on the Meepcraft server. I was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. When I was about 1 and a half, my father got a job in Stratford England and moved us to Stratford Upon Avon where we lived until i was 3, then we moved back to Canada. I am very influenced by media because I have many members of my family who work in the media industry. My second cousin from Toronto is an actress and recently made her debut in the TV series "Minority Report" which is pretty much a sequel to the 2002 film of the same title. Another family member in the media is my Half Sister who is a TV Reporter for the Montreal-based show "City Life". I personally plan to enter the media business as well in film, television and maybe music production. I enjoy making videos on my spare time using imovie on my mac. I recently discovered new video editing techniques that include sound equalization, pixel enlarging and key framing!

Why should you be on our Media team? I believe that I should be a part of the media team because I think it would be a good way to explore new ways to collaborate with fellow members of the team. I also strongly believe that I can bring some raw and productive creativity to the table. When filming, I use a technique that I created, called "Zoom Shifting", which requires the Optifine mod to be installed. The technique utilizes the crtl zoom feature in the mod and shift-walking to create a smooth, and steady look. Unfortunately, it is not that smooth when you walk over slabs. When focused, I can work for a solid 2-3 hours for each video.

I cannot see you holding a position as a staff member on this server regardless of video quality.
You're extremely immature, constantly making sarcastic and/or smartalec comments that just aren't needed, I can easily see you coming back to your usual toxic self very quickly.
You only have two videos of meep and those were from awhile ago. They seem to be made up of just cuts of you... moving slowly. And there's text and song added.
I bet I could do that if I didn't lag with a recording software.

I don't think these are that good quality and I don't think you'd be a quality staff.

I have a couple things to say about this video:
- It was made a long time ago, your skills could have changed since 2014.
- The music was not a very good choice to fit Meepcraft. I also suggest trying to sync the video with the audio. For example at a beat drop engage in an epic battle in KitPVP or something.
- You showed a lot of useless clips. There were so many parkour clips I thought it was a parkour trailer. You also showed a head shop which was kind of useless. Were you trying to advertise your heads to sell or something?
- Bad timing. A lot of the towny clips were shot at night time, and you didn't let the world render. One part that is very noteworthy is the part in Towns Alpha where you show a clip of a half-rendered pirate ship for like 15 seconds, and it's at night time. (maybe turn up your render distance and the fog)
- The texture pack/resource pack whatever it's called now. I think that it would generally be a better idea to use a simpler pack because it was a little bit all over the place, the one you used. If you don't like vanilla I suggest Sphax BureBDCraft or Faithful.

Overall for video 1: 4/10 - I haven't watched video 2 as I type but maybe it's better than this one.


This is the second video.

- This was also made quite a while ago.
- Lots of useless clips again, you showed the statues for like 30 seconds. I suggest cutting clips a little bit more.
- The music was too fast-paced for the speed that the camera was going. There were lots of beat drops in this and nothing visual happened there, which I found really strange.
- Since you did not have access to /fly you could have gone up high to get some shots with some pretty shaders. If you don't think you can get high-up shots then I would focus more on gameplay like the parkour. Your camera movements were very weird, even though you call this a technique it just doesn't look right in my eyes.
- The ending was not very good, the whole jumping thing and the lowercase text. You could have given the text some color, too. The text at the end that said Made by Gedaviaman or something was kind of changing position, just weird really.
- Most of the points I made for video 1 also fits for video 2, which is why I'm not writing as much.

Overall for video 2: 3/10 - I didn't enjoy it very much.


This was posted one month after the two Meep videos. Did you steal this? I feel like you couldn't have improved so much within a month. If you did make it, props to you. I'm not going to judge you for this one though, because I don't know if it's legit.

Overall, you need to improve on your camera movements, timing, choosing the right music and syncing the music with audio. I'm not going to judge you by maturity because I feel like other people are already doing. I don't need to know how mature you are to give you a -1, though. You have potential, but maybe I'd change my view if I saw some newer videos because I have no idea whether or not you have improved since 2014!

Hey there Chris! Well personally I have no idea who you are. I have never seen on you on Teamspeak before and I basically live on teamspeak (considering I'm on at least 6 days a week for a few hours). I've never seen you in global before and I've just seen this recent spike in forum activity.

I took a browse through your channel and noticed a few Major repellents.
1. The appearance. Your channel has basic channel art and I don't see a trailer or anything to grab my attention and make me want to watch your videos

2. Your Variety in Content. You have 7 videos in total: 2 are gaming, 2 are movie, and 2 are randoms. This is highly advised against by many youtuber, stick with one basic theme/genre (Gaming, Tech, Movie, Vlog, ..ect) and make videos specifically on that theme.

3. Your activity. Most of your videos are older than a year and your latest is 4 months, which isn't even on meep or minecraft at all.

4. Potential The only videos about Minecraft or Meep are 2 videos. These videos where just clips of you roaming around with F1 and Zooming in with optifine.

Also, I agree with Bloopers when he asked if you stole the Qlimax 2014 video. That video has decent editing and is setup very well, yet this E-cigarette Anatomy video(uploaded months after) is lacking in editing at all. Seems fishy to me.

I recommend renovating your channel and finding a theme and sticking with it. if that theme happens to be minecraft, then build up your channel and apply then.

 

In the description, I stated that I did not own any of the footage and that I made the video specifically for Q-Dance

 

And yes I did edit the entire thing. I posted it so you could see my potential for video editing. So far the responses are fair! Thanks guys!

And that's what we are questing if you do or do not actually make it. If so make a meepcraft video like that that is update and you will be media no time.

 

-1 - if you don't own the footage, you don't own the video, thus making it not your video. You only have 7 videos on your channel, and the majority of them aren't gaming. I also have only seen you once in game, and never on TeamSpeak.

The Q-Dance Symbol you see at the begining of the video is the name of a youtube channel(https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAEwCfBRlB3jIY9whEfSP5Q) who specializes in those videos. you clearly took one of their videos, added some iMovie Effects, slapped a new title on there and called it yours. Coincidentally all of the harder effects you managed to add on that video with imovie seems to be used a lot in there videos. Chris I'm not trying to "Bash" you or anything I'm just saying that they did all the hard work, they filmed it, they had the High definition cameras and your just going to add a few black screens with some words and make it seem as those you made the video as good as it is. We need media on meep, Not Editors.

My main point wasn't the fact that it was "Intended for q-dance", My main point was that all you did to "edit" the video was open up Imovie and throw in some black screens and words. I'm not saying you wouldn't make a good media because I haven't seen any other but two videos that are just raw files; based on those two videos it's a definite -1. If you make some more content(Which you should have been doing before you applied...) and that content is decent and attractive I may change my vote.
