Bug: Clear Lag Clears Zombie Villagers Being Cured

Summary of Bug: So I tried to cure a zombie villager that I spawned from a spawner, and after splashing a weakness pot and golden apple on the zombie, it made the noise it makes when they are converting. It started shaking, like it's supposed to. Then, clear lag wiped him. I asked what I should do in shout, and someone told me to name it. So I named it and it still despawned. I tried twice without naming it and once naming it. Didn't work. If you can make it so that a zombie villager being cured can't get cleared or a named mob can't be cured that would be great.

Additional information: I got villagers with spawn eggs but it cost 125k just to get the one I wanted when I could've gotten it for free by curing them.

 

@smkorpi9900 was having trouble with it too. I tried helping him, and it didn't work. So he filed a modreq and dblosevn couldn't figure it out either. So he just got a villager spawn egg and spawned it in.

 

I hope they didn't disable it. That would be stupid.

 

It isn't disabled, it's a server issue. There's something about the ticks of the server (the ticks are what creates lag) that does this. Instead of clear lag, when the ticks go too low (meaning it's laggy) it clears all mobs. I have wasted three golden apples that way already. Unless Fuzzlr or someone else with console changes the plugin so that this won't happen until it dips even lower then normal.

If you want to be able to convert villagers either do so in an obscure less laggy world (skyblock is an example of a less laggy world) OR convert them when the player count is low/not many people are in towns

Also, this didn't seem clear when I re read my comment, it only clears harmful mobs such as those from cave spawners

Yes but they were about 30 blocks away.
