    Member Name n00bslayer_99

    Additional In Game Names: Current IGN is Iateyourmom

    When you were banned: Around the 10th of Feb

    Reason for ban: tbh I haven't checked, but probably something like scamming 100th offence

    Ban Length: A long, long time.

    Staff member who issued ban: Again, I haven't checked.

    Why we should consider your appeal: For the first time, I really regret this ban. Never before have I scammed anyone and actually intended it. Usually I have taken out a loan, gambled, my meaning being that I'd want to double it and pay the loan back straight away. This time, as a first, I took out a loan, played a really stupid casino game with so low odds that I was bound to blow it all to some random person. I did all of this, just because I wanted to quit. Since then, I have learnt about self respect and self management. I can play Meepcraft as well as keeping up with irl. I no longer have the option to refund the said players I scammed, although I want them to understand why I did it, and how apologetic I am.

    On top what I have done and will in the future do to fix this problem is; I will not take out any loans. I can't promise I won't gamble again, but I can promise that I won't scam again. I look at this like smoking; I just cannot stop. Although once my lungs are infected enough, once the community dislikes me enough, once I am so close to death, once I am so close to having used everybody's trust on this server, I will stop. I want to live, and so I shall stop the cause of what's killing me. Same logic as my situation.

    I am fully open to any restrictions you want to put it place; Any scam = unappealable perm is the obvious one, however you could also lower my warning point limit to make it perm, double the time of any bans, etc. Whatever you think is good.

    Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: If possible I want Deinen to handle this appeal. He is the staff member whom I have let down the most, and if I can't convince him I deserve another chance, it's not worth coming back.

    Thanks

    1) I banned you, so I cannot handle the appeal, it'll be up to another staff to decide.

    2) You're current IGN is not Iateyourmom. n00bslayer_99 turned into Libertyswift, and as of March 10th is known as _imperfectly

    3) I am fairly positive that we've down this road, a few times. I gotta be honest, I'm a fan of you showing us first, then us lifting any bans. If this were a case of you quitting by banned and cursing your way out, or something else other trivial like that, this would be a different story from me. It's the hurting people that really irritates me, they lose out because of your actions, and that is not a decent thing to do to somebody.

    oh. Looking back on it I think I decided Iateyourmom sounded a little... Anyway because I'm banned from meep mc doesn't interest me, and therefore I don't play it; My account isn't compromised, I simply just haven't played since I got banned.

    I'm understandable of this, however I don't agree with it. I think the way it should work is that I gain your trust, have my bans lifted and then show you. Show you that people have their dark moments, but that everyone is capable of overcoming them. I'm asking for this unban, because I will never need to ask for another; and I'm certain of it.

    Sorry, I don't quite understand what you're saying here.

    Yes, I made a mistake, a huge one. I regret it, I wish I could take it back, I wish I could go back in time and think clearly. Sadly, I'm human. Sadly, no matter how much I apologise to the people I have hurt, and no matter how many times they forgive me, my actions can not be taken back and will never be forgotten.

    In that case the answer is simple; I'm, as you said, known to get banned for cursing, or other minor offences. So, had I done a first offence cursing, it wouldn't have been as bad as it is now. Remember, at the time I wanted to be banned as bad as possible, which is why I scammed over 2mil.

    What I mean is: If you were going to go out in a blaze of glory, and did it via language, or some offense that hurt nobody, I would be much more forgiving. It's that your glory has a tendency to hurt other people.

    Look, at the time I did this I wasn't really thinking right. I had flames in my eyes, and I just wanted to take out everything on the nearest person to me. On top of that, something in me, for some reason, got the idea of tying it in with leaving Meep. Had I done an offence other then scamming, I wouldn't have felt like I'd succeeded. No, I needed to get my point across that what had happened was not ok, that never ever wanted to come back here. I've passed through all of the hatred, now i just feel cold; and I'm here to set it right. I can't, and even if I could I wouldn't, make you understand the full reason as to why I did it. I'm here trying to prove that I am good now, not that i was good then - because I wasn't good then, but I am now. I am asking for this chance to prove myself.

    Due to you having changed it and never logging onto our server with that specific name, I am unable to find your entire banhistory, but I have been told it is quite long. You say you committed the scam you are currently banned for because you just wanted to leave the server, presumably because you were bored of it. What is to stop you from getting bored of it again, and doing this same thing?

    I was not bored of it. Heck, I always had things to do on Meep. At the time I was having some serious real life issues, including one of my best friends had been acting out-of-ordinary; which ended in this: http://meepcraft.com/threads/im-lost.40577/page-2#post-446889
    I was confused at the time, and my head was foggy with what my next step was going to be. Something inside me told me that Meep wouldn't help me; if anything it'd make things worse.
    I got help, and looking back on it now I think I was wrong. Had I gone with my gut, and stayed, I think Meep would've helped more then it wouldn't have.
    You ask how do you know I won't get bored again? Well I'll answer it relevantly; I know I will never be as confused as I was at the time, at least not in the way I was. I have had help, real help from a help line, and it won't just start over again. I know it.
    I regret it. I can't take back what I did. I'm asking for a chance to prove myself. Please.

    I apologize that you went through that.

    Onto the topic, however. Many players who break simple scamming rules go on to break larger rules, such as duping or griefing. Do you think that at any point you would break one of those rules, hoping to not be caught?

    ABSOLUTELY NOT.
    I am well aware that I have already pushed the boundary well beyond what I should have, there is no way in the world I would risk such a thing.
    Secondly, this is going to sound strange but the whole duping/griefing isn't my style (not that I have a style of being banned... It's hard to explain, but as I said, not my style).

    And to finalize, do you think that you will be a positive and helpful member of the community? I.E. participating in /shout, helping people out.

    As much as I can yes. I can't promise I'll spend the whole time chatting in global, but I don't think that's what you mean. When I do chat, I will be positive and helpful.

    So... "To finalize" I guess means you're done looking into it, and what decision have you come to?

    Sorry, but one more thing. You've been perm banned close to 5 times. Seemingly, the pattern will continue. Scam -> Permban -> Appeal -> Unban -> Scam -> Permban -> Appeal -> Unban -> Scam -> Permban -> Appeal -> Unban, etc. What changes this time?

    I'm just sick of making the same mistakes over and over again. I can't prove it to you now, but you will see over time that this won't happen again.
    You will not regret unbanning me.

    You were not scammed, I have no idea where you got that from or why you would say it.
    The following were the only ones who were scammed:
    @2004grevous
    @Ohyeah95207
    @Empoleon_master
