Problems with Name Changes

I changed my name from xmidnightmonkeyx to _Galactic_Toast_
Anyways, i'd not like to keep this formal but,
1. (not sure if big problem or not)
When you change your name and are registered as a cit, you gain the standard $2,500.
This can be exploited. idk how or if one would fix or change this.
2. Duping
Minutes before the actual name change occurred, I removed all things from my ender chest thingy. Upon relog with a new name, I promptly checked it, as i had replaced the items with 4 netherrack. All of the stuff previously in the chest was there, as well as in the backup chest I put them in. #Dupester.
I am sorry to say that the fate of the netherrack is unknown. rip
ill be glad to have the duplicated items confiscated, but i wanted to bring the attention to this.

You can only change your names every 30 days, so the 2.5K thing isn't that big of an issue.

 

dependent on how many alts you possess

 

well anytime you change a name the server will recognize you as a new player. Because it's never had that username log on before.

 

UUIDs.

 

I highly doubt that the first day of this happening it's bug free and perfect.

 

Enderchests support UUIDs, and so does the inventory.

 

Well it obviously screwed something up because it duped items.

 

IMO, old name > new name.

I don't think #1 is a big problem, but #2 definitely could be if it wasn't a fluke.

*changes name*

*Takes out 64 Diamond blocks*

128 Diamond Blocks

*Gets on Alt*

*Repeats*

 

I'd also like to add that there have been some issues with KitPVP kits.

This should be resolved when the system is fully updated and ready. This will be put to Pending in the meantime.

 

This should be resolved completely, except the new citizen thing maybe, but that will be resolved with the rest of the namechange update.
