Accepted Chris Angel Ban Appeal

Why we should consider your appeal: So I used some of my Mindfreak © magic to destroy some blocks and torches on Blyzzrd's skyblock. The only things that weren't immediately put back or given back were three glass blocks and one cobblestone wall. Most of the time, bbycakes2012 was asking me to destroy something so she could check out why I was able to destroy things (some people just are not capable of understanding Chris Angel though.) The only things I destroyed before bbycakes2012 asked me to destroy things were two blocks of glass. So, basically I have been banned for twelve hours for destroying two glass blocks. The real science behind why I was able to destroy the blocks is that the electromagnetic waves emitted from my x-ray texture pack are quite strong. The x-ray photons are strong enough to ionize atoms and break molecular bonds. The x-ray waves from my texture pack broke the molecular bonds in the glass and thus caused it to break into little shards of glass (which means it was completely destroyed in Minecraft physics.) I know some of you may be concerned for the players around me because x-ray has ionizing radiation and is dangerous to organic materials (such as human beings), but no matter how many times someone says 'swag', you simply cannot get cancer from Minecraft. TLR: I got banned for twelve hours for breaking two glass blocks. If that is not a gross over step of power, then I do not want to live in this cruel and miserable world anymore. Please demote flamedemond2 for this travesty.

I would like to see you take this appeal seriously. You still griefed whether it was ten thousand blocks or two blocks. Nice attempt to explain photons and electromagnetic waves. You did your research. Ever heard of a photo-electron spectroscopy? As for this x-ray texture pack, mind in-boxing me a link so I can check it out? What about that pumpkin?

Sorry BooBear, I do not know if you have read the rules or not, but an x-ray texture pack is clearly not one of the allowed texture packs/mods on the server, thus making it illegal to have turned on and use. If I were you, I would admit to having the x-ray pack immediately and serve out your ban. I am in no means an expert in electromagnetic waves. I only tried to explain, crudely, the science behind how I broke the blocks. I also tried not to go too in depth on the subject because most of the players do not have the mental capacity to comprehend anything outside of blocks and pickaxes. I do not think two glass blocks warrants a twelve hour ban, and I did not have the wrong person in flamedemond2. If you disagree with me, then so be it. I would like to agree with you, but then we would both be wrong.

 

Thanks for bringing this up. Boobear, you should really look through this and delete any texture pack or illegal mods you have.

I'm sorry that you didn't read the rules. As Jonnehboidamon has above, "The use of any hack, modification, glitch, or texture pack to give yourself an unfair advantage falls under this category. Suspicion of use of a hacked client is reason enough to ban."

I've been staff for a week and 10 months, and I obviously know that x-raying is illegal for non Mod+ members of MeepCraft. I am afraid I cannot believe that you broke a block with a texture pack that emits rays high enough to ionize a molecule.

I still don't understand why are you taking this appeal as a joke. Can you tell me why you think you should be unbanned?

Well, asking for a link to an x-ray texture pack is solicitation of a crime. Solicitation is illegal in the United States, but it also involves some form of payment. I do not know what the rules are on solicitation in Meepcraft, and whether or not payment is required for it to be solicitation, but asking for a link to an x-ray texture packs shows intent and is pretty suspicious. As for you not believing the electromagnetic waves destroying a block, I previously stated that I would not explain the magic behind my trick. Now, what is griefing? Griefing is defined, by the Minecraft Wiki, as "the act of irritating and angering people in video games through the use of destruction, construction, or social engineering." So the real question is, did I irritate and anger Blyzzrd by breaking those two blocks of glass? You will have to ask him if he was angered or irritated. I my opinion, he seemed to find the whole ordeal humorous, but I do not know if he was angered or irritated. So, if he was not irritated or angered by those two glass blocks being broken, then I did not grief. If I did not grief, then I should not be serving out a twelve hour ban for griefing. I think that flamedemond2 is mostly to blame for this incident, but you may feel otherwise.
