Why ya should be unbanned ? : Okay. So, I had a modreq to superbros saying if Damage Indicators mod was illegal on meepcraft, he said yes, so then I asked him if I was going to be banned for having it without knowing it was illegal. He said no, just remove it. I did that, and was playing kitpvp for a bit. A hacker came back online, who had spammed/server hated/hacked BEFORE I knew the mod was illegal came back on and started hacking and it got me real aggrivated he wasn't banned. So I filed a modreq and uploaded screenies I had taken before I knew damage indicators was illegal and put them all into an imgur link. Then when chaos finally answered my modreq I told her that the screenies were taken before I knew damage indicators was illegal. She said okay, and I showed he the imgur photos. After a few minutes the player was banned. I continued to play for a half an hour until I got tired and I went to bed. I logged on this morning to me being permed for a week. Can someone explain?

I was under the impression it was allowed, not just the fact that I didn't know if it was illegal or not. And I had only got the mod to work THAT DAY, which is why I played with it for a bit, then wondered to myself it if even was allowed so I modreqed it, found out it wasn't, and deleted it

Thought it was legal : Not really getting much advantage over other players, has been legal, I don't remember when it became illegal , It's not hacking, it is a mod, not a hack. Hack : Using a client to use unlegit moves such as kill aura or no knockback , which is a cheat and it can not be done in vanilla. Damage Indicators : a passive mod tool, that is used in survival modpacks and has no relation to hacked clients whatsoever. I didn't pvp with the damage indicators, so I modreqed before it could've even had a use. The exception was me moderating a fight to see if a player used /heal. I asked a staff member if it was legal, and it wasn't so it got deleted from my computer. Obviously DI is a mod, but so is optifine. So don't tell me "modded minecraft client" is where you're getting me at, even shaders is a modded minecraft client, moreso than DI since it affects the textures and has to have a forge modloader to even use.

 

If something is not listed as allowed you ask before using it. That's the facts. You don't just assume that it is not illegal.

However, I can't accept/deny this myself, so I'll leave it to another staff member to handle.

 

Denied. I honestly do appreciate that you asked staff about this, and thank you for doing so. But chaos546 is right. You should not be using any modifications on MeepCraft without verifying that they are legal BEFORE using them.

As for what superbros1211 told you, I think you misunderstood him. He did not tell you that you could not get banned for it - only that he did not have proof to ban you for it. You volunteered that proof to chaos later on. I'm sorry for any confusion this may have caused, but you've been around long enough that you should know the rules. Please wait out your ban.
