i dug straight down and did not use xray. i normally just dig straight down to find caves and tunnels

Based on this evidence and some research I have done on my owns it is clear that you are using some form of chest finder which is indeed a form of x-ray. This is denied. You can wait a month or two and appeal again as some are accepted after that time has passed.
