Accepted Handcranker Ban appeal

why you should consider my appeal:

1. I was not using any autoclicking software, I was using a sophisticated contraption involving a folded piece of paper, a remapped right click to alt key and a can of Jack Daniels(Togs can verify that this is how I did it)

2. I had checked the rules before I had done anything and I did not see anything on the rule book saying that holding down a key to afk was an offence let alone bannable.

3. I have checked the rules with staff assistance and still cannot see what I have done is an offence.

4. What I was doing was not giving me any advantage over other players as the server is full of afk farms doing the exact same thing, which is leaving the game unattended while game mechanics give you loot.

5. I am devilishly handsome, I mean it, have you seen me I am a fine specimen of a bearded man and I feel it should weigh into my argument somehow.

6. My machine no longer exists due to server roll back this morning


From the start I had intended on using my machine to help me get wealth while following all the rules that this server has. There was no malicious intent, no childish teeheehee I'm undermining the rules, just a player trying to make as many legitimate meebles as he can.

Even as I am typing this I still cannot see any rules I have broken. I believe that I should have this ban completely overturned (not reduced) and any rules that staff believe I have broken put up on the rules page where people like me who actually check them before doing things can see them.

 

Using "a folded piece of paper, a remapped right click to alt key and a can of Jack Daniels" is not the way the game was intended and considered cheating.

I like how you wrote piece of paper on the paper. I can also confirm that he was using aforementioned piece of paper and can to hold in the key.

 

I did not use any mods for the game

 

In reply to Diana, You posted the rule about "Mods" which stands for modifications. The "Mods" that are being cited are all IN GAME modifications. He did not have an auto clicker or any sort of third party macro. Unban the guy with a warning or give him a few day temp ban. He donated $80 which means he cares about the server and is dedicated. He is a mature player in game and in teamspeak that to my knowledge, has 0 infractions before this. You must consider what this "auto clicker" was. Zero Tolerance = zero thinking.

 

Read it again Jeff... its title is Hacking/Cheating. Below that it talks about Mods, etc. Let me zero in on it.

To relate this back to an earlier example of a similar situation. Killeryi was banned for the same reason when selling tons of emeralds to the supreme shop(old meep) that he spent the whole day buying for a cheaper price. He was banned for this because he did not respond to mods when they /msg him and type in normal chat. Turned out he was actually just AFK and had taped his left mouse button down so it continued to punch the sign- less efficient and it also eventually breaks the sign but the sign comes back- and you can continue to sell until your heart desires. He may have served a small temp ban, but he was unbanned.

As I see it, it is the same situation. And the rules say nothing about external mods(contraptions) in order to achieve similar results, only rules against ingame mods.

EDIT: and about the "clarification" I have seen multiple people get off with using mods, legitimate mods like X-ray, etc. not external ones. They served like a 7 day ban max

 

There's no need to be rude jeff. Also fairly certain that there is a rule against posting in ban appeals that you don't have anything to do with.

 

Diana I thank you for your time but as Jeff said I have thrown money at this community because I thought that this server was a really awesome concept. But you have shown me that this is a waste of my time. I can get far more entertainment without being treated like a criminal for less money. I did not break any rules and the links that you have posted do not apply to me in any way shape or form.

I do not grief peoples homes, I do not steal, I do not rip people off if they don't understand the prices, I help noobs out, I have helped experienced players out that do not understand redstone machines. I believe I have been a good member of the community.

I suggest next time you wish to ban somebody, make sure they are breaking rules first. I'm done with this place.

 

First of all I would like to publicly apologize to Diana for the tone I took with my last post (I will leave it up as to not hide my shame). I have had it explained to me that because I used the paper to automate my keypress it is not using the server as intended, which is clearly covered by the posts Diana has put up and is against the rules. I did not intend to break the rules of the server and if my ban is removed I will continue with trying to uphold them.
