Denied mrli1's ban appeal (sort of)

Hi, this is mrli1. Not really planning to come on again tonight, but just making some constructive points, and how I was unrightfully banned. A lot of people use things like L0L (0=zero) and 0MG, as the new caps rule only allows for a two letter caps max (which I personally think it should be 3). A lot of staff says that you can say one word of caps w/o getting punished, and all I said was 'W00000 spider head ftw'. If this gets accepted, you don't need to unban me, I'm going to sleep anyways. Not sure which staff say this, but it does violate the rules specifically written to prevent people circumventing the filter. I know I put it in the srrver-wide rules, as we had issues with many people attempting to evade the caps filter. Your ban was very much in line with the official rules.

 

Alright, your reasons are good enough for me. Just let me ask one more thing: are the 3 letter txt phrases still allowed to be replaced with zeros?

 

No idea I'm not a staff member. I know I would have allowed them in the past, but that is up to the current management to decide. I allowed it as grammatically, all letters in an acronym should be capitalized, and making rules which violate correct grammar is a bit stupid.

 

Not that this is relevant anymore, since it was just a two hour ban, but I've seen (last night) people banned for L0L. I disagree with it, but it is technically the rule, and I will enforce it as such.
