Why we should consider your appeal:Netrarc kicked me for /msging him the first time and told me to stop,i replied ok.Then he banned me for 3 days.Can't he do /ignore?

 

Ok the only reason I'm posting in here is because the person needed to know that /ignore is not in the server, due to there being complications with /shout, and to fix that, it would require a lot of coding.

The warning was the kick. When a player, especially a staff member, tells you to stop messaging them and you continue to do so, you get a kick. When you continue to harass the player after the kick, you get banned. That's the way it is. I can't deny this myself, but odds are it's going to be denied.

 

All i said after the kick was Ok.

This includes forms of text communication, and various other acts intended to be antagonistic against an individual or a group of people. Also included are extreme forms of slander, intended to use as harassment, or lay fault on a person wrongfully. Also included in slander is the attempt to continuously harm a person’s reputation without cause and with prejudice.

This player joined my town after he returned to the server following a ban for Towny theft. I didn't not know about his prior ban when I accepted his request to join the town.

He purchased a pre-built plot in the town, emptied it of valuable contents, and left town. A few days later, he asked to join the town again, and I told him that he is not allowed to return.

Since that time, he has asked me on a regular basis if he could rejoin the town. Each time, the answer has been "no." Yesterday, he found an unclaimed embassy plot in my town and claimed it without permission. I gave him 24 hours to remove his items and leave before I took action for trespassing.

The player said he would leave, but began a /msg campaign that grew very tiresome. I asked him to stop messaging, and he refused.





I issued a kick as a warning, and he immediately messaged me again after returning from the kick, so I issued a 3 day tempban for harassment.

 

For your info i didn't claim an embassy plot in your town.And even so,u should ban me for 3hours why 3Days?

 

I know i'm at fault.But what i don't get is the duration of the ban.

 

It says "Temporary ban for 3 hours - 3 days" for a second offence so at the discretion of the mod it can be 3 days if they see fit.

 

As they see fit,then it should be changed to 3Days.

 

I get that you are trying to help, but there are rules against posting on ban appeals if you dont relate directly to the case. You have been warned.

'As they see fit' means that the staff membercan ban you for as long as they think necessary. Netrarc is allowed to ban you for 3 days, especially after you claimed unclaimed plots in his town.

I didn't step into his town at all.

 

As you can see, I am in Goldford, and you are talking in local chat to another player. This conversation took place seconds before you told me that you claimed an embassy plot.

Your own message to me said otherwise. In the screenshot below, you can see the log record of what you said:

I chose the extended ban length because of the extended nature of the harassment. As I explained above, your harassment toward me took place over the course of many days and took several forms (plot raiding, repeated messaging, plot claim without permission). After dealing with the other issues, I asked you to stop the repeated messages (many of which have not been posted here) and you chose to continue, even after the first warning kick. It was my opinion that the tempban length was a fair response to the nature of the offense.

I will leave the remainder of this appeal for another staff member to evaluate.

 

As i said,i was just joking.

 

Plot raiding?For your info i didn't raid that plot.I just wanted to be an assistant in another town.
