World-warping device at spawn.

Brief Idea: A compass or other item that, when right clicked, shows a list of worlds that the player can warp to. Will expand with other ideas below.

Detailed Description:

Seeing the amount of new players come into Meepcraft has alarmed me. It's great, the rate is up there. But, when warping to tutorial, it takes you to the Quest Master. This is an optional choice and players can choose not to do this. If they don't, this impacts hugely on their ability to play Meepcraft, and could eventually lead them to leaving the server, and not coming back.

This, added with the untidiness of the amount of warps in /warp, has led to my solution. Create a compass or other device that is permanently stuck to a player's inventory that leads them to the different worlds of Meepcraft. To be implemented, the Towny inventory must be solely used in Towny, and must not appear in Spawn.

I understand this turns this simple suggestion into a whirlwind of cascading problems, such as /warp mobs or /warp airship, but the simple solution is to create different worlds where they exist, and to enable Towny inventory.

Now, it would seem dumb to solely implement all these different features for the one item. I'm also suggesting that there be different items for different cosmetics, such as /dis and /h. This enables spawn to be a place where people can enjoy themselves, get away from the stress of NinjaRoxy's 50k Boomo Game.

Positives:

- Enables players to warp around Meepcraft easily, reducing the risk of players leaving without experiencing all of Meepcraft.
- Ease of access to other donator perks.

Negatives:

- Would take some time and effort to implement. A temporary spawn would possibly have to be implemented.

The reasons why:

- We have portals already, update them if necessary.
- We do not need a compass that tells you what a warp is.
- New tutorial is being worked on.
- Spawn with just a compass is boring. It's good the way it is.

Even though its a good idea, sadly have to agree with Natsu. I would also like to add that by using those items, would make it less of a challenge to explore it and take in interesting spots at spawn, from TNT run, to staff NPC park, to even a outdoor store to sell food. So would be a nice to see it all, but takes away the challenge to search.

 

Realistically, this just wouldn't work. We'd have to move airship and /warp mobs to other worlds, and reconfigure all the quests, which are the main reason spawn gets so much attention.

Really no need for this as /warp is already available. It's just unnecessary. Denied!
