Why was this message made?

This message has been advertised on meep for about a year now, but is it really a good statement to make when you're trying to sell a rank?

Imagine this: You're a citizen who is a bit new to the server but is considering donating to get vip or something like that. And as you're going to do it, you see this message up here.

Basically, the server itself said you don't have a soul. Do you honestly think that player is willing to donate to a server that considered them soulless? I know I wouldn't, and others probably think the same way.

Please remove this ad or change it to something less demeaning.

I highly doubt people are leaving the server because of this, but I have always found it to be a bit macabre. Not to mention rankist.

 

This has to be a troll, theres no way in hell that someone actually thinks this...

 

I actually remember the first time I saw this as a cit, and thinking 'Are you saying I have no soul?' I had to live with being called soulless for 5 months and 7 days, until I got Exclusive on Christmas Day. Even now, I still think it's slightly rankist.
