Introduction:
Hey guys, I am TimtheFireLord, but most of you probably know me by the same name. In my spare time I volunteer at the local nature center, write/produce movies with my friends, do indoor rock climbing, draw, read, and (of course) ply on Meep.
The reason I want to be staff is because of an experience I had back when I first joined this server. A player by the name of flamedragon said that he was contemplating suicide over shout. I turned out to be the only person to respond to him, and later found out in msg that he was recently divorced from his wife and he didn't know how to live with himself. After a few minutes I actually managed to convince him that life is too beautiful a thing to waste over one mistake, and he then thanked me for all m help and said he was going to change. This experience changed my life. I realized that simply by offering a helping hand I, a 13 year old, had saved a grown man's life. From that point forward I vowed to be as kind as I could to people, regardless of how they seem to be. I believe that by being helper I can continue this devotion and change the server by changing the people who play it.

Why you should be Helper/Mod ?
Experience: I have been the mayor of a metropolis called Oceana for about 23 days now, which tests my responsibility and leadership skills. The former mayor, TribeTribe12, was quitting and decided to choose the most trustworthy person out of the town's assistants and chose me. He entrusted me to not only look after his stuff, but also other people who needed a place to live.

Helpfulness: I try to help out as much as I can in shout and through /msg. I don't know all of the commands, so I usually have to go to alpha spawn and check out the signs, but I do what I can.

(Over)Generosity: I am a very generous person because I have realized that you don't need money to have fun on Meep. Due to this realization I have gone broke several times and had my valuables chest empty in a week. xD I don't know if that's a good thing though...

Intolerance to crime: I know what it is like to be stolen from, harassed, griefed, pestered and spammed. It is NOT fun. (All of these experiences were from one person -_- ) and I have no tolerance for X-raying and duping. I think it is horrible that people will go to such lengths as hacking the game and making other people miserable just to simply get money or materials for themselves.

I'm a good boy : I have never been banned before, save once on forums for posting on a ban appeal. : /


Weaknesses:

Parents: My mom and dad think that everyone on the internet is a pedophile, so I am not allowed to chat. As you can see though, I tend to completely ignore that. :/

Parents Part Deux: I occasionally have to get off without warning.

ADHD: I have ADHD, but I take medicine for it so its not a problem. Just thought I'd let you know though.

TeamSpeak: Although I have a mic my mom and dad do not allow me to use it, so if I am on TeamSpeak it is usually in chat. On a few occasions though I am allowed to talk.

Typing: I honestly am a pretty bad typer. (I still use the "chicken peck" method) so occasionally I will muff up a command.


Conclusion: I honestly can't wait to hear your feedback, and am looking forward to not having to type anymore. My hand is tired.

EDIT Problem Solved! My mom and dad are letting me do the interview and talk to people now!

You have no idea how glad I am to see you apply, Tim. You, in my opinion, are a great candidate for Helper.

- I've had to help you with a lot of griefing cases, which is unlucky, but even in times where some people would have gotten angry with staff, you were always polite. You seem like a very respectful player, and quite honestly, I have never seen anything from you that makes me think you don't have the right personality for this.
- I see you frequently in shout, ever so ften helping out, as well as just generally being friendly. I count being friendly more heavily than helping out as often times people /msg whomever they want to help.
- I am please with your forums activiry, to say the least. I'm constantly on the forums, and I see you quite a bit.
- While your application was not the longest I've seen, and it wasn't the greatest information wise either. However, you did have sufficient information, and it is far from bad.
- TeamSpeak is not the biggest issue with me, as I myself was mot the most active either, but just answer me this; Would youfeel comfortable doing your interview and generally interacting with staff members and other players if need be on TeamSpeak?

All in all, I don't see any huge reasons to give you anythig other than a confident +1

 

Yeah, id be completely comfortable, but it would have to be in the chat box, not the voice chat. My parents are very protective. EDIT: Not anymore! All better!

 

All interviews must be done over voice chat. Are you sure they won't let you? I thought my parents wouldnt, but they did.
