The August Update

Hey Meepers!

Let's go through a little run-down of all our recent improvements/fixes!

KitPvP Revisions
- We have removed the Kit signs at /warp KitPvP and replaced it with a much better /kit command!
- /kits are currently being worked on by the one and only @reggles44, and we look forward to the new ones!

Stock Market
-Your stocks can now be stored at the Broker. All info will displayed in the GUI.

Staff List
- We have a new dynamic Staff List located as a tab at the top of forums
- You can check here to see when we get new Staff Members or promote our current ones!

Vortex
- We have modified Vortex to prevent players from using /me while inside it
- Also, after 90 seconds, players will be auto-redirected to Spawn!
- No more waiting in Void for the world to come back up!

Infected
- Infected permissions have been completed
- Enjoy our new game!

Parkour
-Cactus-parkour has been added
-Lava glitch in Ultimate ice has been fixed

Forum profile pictures
-Profile picture bug has been resolved

Bug Fixes
- Bugs and glitches are being fixed around the clock to ensure the most fun possible for every Meeper out there!

Why was /me removed from void?

 

Because it's spamming, annoying, and can not be moderated until after you're out.

Good job on the cactus parkour as well, it looks awesome and is also really challenging

 

I don't quite get your logic here,

It's spamming - It's not spamming, only certain players are spamming, which there are already many staff and rules in place for that.
Annoying - You think players chatting is annoying??
Can not be moderated until after you're out - How is this a problem?

The server(s) go down near enough everyday, sometimes for a few minutes sometimes for an hour+ and players want to continue communicating, even if it's via the void. I really don't see why the staff are restricting this. If new players join the server when it's down and there's no one in void telling them what happened, they are just going to leave and go on to an alternative server.

 

I tried to change my profile picture and it still doesn't work

 

Due to the fact that there is a 90 second ridirect, there are really no conversations necessary. Also, yes, it is just a few people spamming, but staff can not predict who that shall be and we would rather have them not talk at all then spam profanity for 90 seconds straight.

 

Our main goal with the changes to Vortex is to improve the quality for our players. Some are unaware that they can teleport to spawn from the void.
As of a couple of days people are automatically teleported to spawn so they can continue enjoying their time on Meepcraft.

If spawn is down usually big troubles are up - and then you'll stay in the void.

Yay for updates!
Love that the profile picture issue has been resolved. So many people having issues with it, and then it looks like they are newer to forums, or don't care, and that is not happy.
I'll have to check out this stocks thing too. Hrm.

The only thing I don't like about this update. It just doesn't look appealing or aesthetically pleasing. It's nice that it is automated, but it just looks like bad HTML writing in all honesty. It would be cool if it could be in a better font/size color. Other than that, I love it. Just hate the way it looks.
