    Suggestion description
An all new question-answer system, which will be called as newb(ie) chat. The command would be /newb, in this way, players are allowed to ask valid questions regarding the server.

    An example is:
/newb How can I teleport to someone?

I'd like to suggest regarding the server's helper/moderator system, as you can see at the moment, we call staff members on their first rank as 'Helpers', however, I feel like a change should be done.

A new staff team should be implemented, this team would have a different role and will be named as The Moderation Team. The Moderation Team will be an all new staff team which will consists of players that are able to answer questions from the players. They will have an access to the command and will receive chat messages which will contain messages of the players that needs their questions answered thoroughly and on a detailed manner.

The Moderation Team would have three ranks, Junior Helper, Helper and Senior Helper.

The role of the Junior Helper is simple, they can answer newbie questions. If someone is a little bit confused with something, he would direct himself to the command /newb(ie). In this manner, players could ask questions and The Moderation Team would answer it.

    An example is:
Sqreix: How can I teleport back to my town?
Junior Helper #1: You should use the command [/t spawn], this command will teleport you back to the town you are part of.

Questions should have a limit of atleast three answers.

Helpers would have the same role with Junior Helpers, however, they could accept help(er) requests in this way, players will request for a helper. In other words, visual assistance. It is where a Helper teleports to the player and a player will ask a question, not just a paragraph which could spam the /newb(ie) chat.

Senior Helpers are the ones that will be in-charged of the Moderation Team when the high-ranking staff members are out, they're the ones who are expected to keep the Moderation Chat professional as possible.

The Administration Team would also select a few Moderation Managers, Deputy Moderation Director and a Moderation Director. These managers/directors are the ones in charged of the Moderation Team, they're the ones who handles applications/reinstatements of the players who have an interest on joining the team.

If you have questions or confusions with my suggestion, please feel free to reply down below and I'll try my best to answer them as quickly as possible, however, please re-think if you think this suggestion should be implemented in the server as it pretty much would help out the server.

If you have an issue with a staff member, you should file a staff complaint.

As for the suggestion, rather than demean new players, make it /q for "question" or a similar command.

However, /modreq is quite literally made partly for this. There's no need to implement a command which fits the same purpose. Also, your suggestion for the staff team seems outlandish to me, insofar as I doubt it'll happen. -1 to both.

-1, /g is sufficient for small questions and /modreq can handle the rest. We do not need a separate "moderation team" to handle questions that can be answered my most players.

Or.... you could ask questions in global. Because this isnt needed in any degree. If we had 700+ players? Maybe.
But we very clearly do not.

I understand your reasoning behind this, but I really just don't think it's needed. This same basic thing is all part of the job of Mods and Helpers. We already have plenty of people who can do this, as well as handle the other jobs that these two ranks participate in.
You do realize this would make it bigger, right? You'd have the team we have now + this new moderation team.
Having focus on one particular job isn't always a good thing. It's better to have people trained to do a bit of everything, because then they can handle almost any situation. What happens when there are only the Helpers on? Because they only help out new players, it means that if someone is over in KitPvP hacking, then they can't do anything about it. It just works better to use global, because normal players can handle this perfectly fine, and then /modreq is simple enough to remember.

First, we don't treat new people as newbs but we welcome them into our family, so we shouldn't have commands named /newb

Most questions get answered in global and that's enough, but I agree that we should have a different chat for help. It's because some get ignored or some arent seen by people with gtoggle. Maybe we could make /q for question a different chat channel that everyone can see.

With the staff team, the current moderation team is doing a good job. If we have like twenty different staff ranks it would be confusing. However, I think that mods and helpers should get more, such as the ability to access information on projects and future updates.

Helpers and mods have that information.
Leaking staff chat gets them demoted and that's why its not as often shared by them vs supers and admins.
Edit: there's not even very much info the community doesn't already know, either

Be specific on "what kind of problems" because when you talk about "problems" in this situation, I'm assuming you refer to the entire staff team.

To be fair, answering questions in global is one of the things staff does pretty well like 99% of the time :]

I think in the last few years, the position of helper was really thrown to a different definition.

Helpers are supposed to answer questions and do the minor moderation duties like kicks, bans for less than 3 days, and any other mild offenses. They really need no information regarding the server projects or anything. Their purpose was to handle questions like "How do I make a town?" and "How do I tp to someone?"

Honestly, the server should go back to having a trial-mod phase (even though it was made redundant by the upper staff at the time) and keep helpers basically as mini-ambassadors, or people that simply want to cut down the modreq count by answering silly basic questions that new players have.

If the person applying wants to be involved in more than just "helping," they are more than welcome to be given a shot at being a full moderation staff. Being a Trial-Mod gives them access to heavier commands and abilities, whereas Helper only needs to answer questions.

Example time: If I were to come back, I would be interested in just answering questions thru modreq because I would not be available for hours upon hours of my day. This would still cut down the moderation response time and allow the mods+ to do more tedious and important tasks like looking into griefs, thefts, and hacking/duping.

I'd say activity would be a great start. I've spoken to a few members of the community and most say that they'd appreciate staff showing dedication and activity to the community and server as a whole.

-1 there needs to be no change to the current staff system regarding sub helper tags. Helpers and Moderators handle the current modreqs swiftly.

The point of this suggestion is to have a seperate chat and a brand new introduced team that isn't in any way related to the administration duties of the current team, this team doesn't have the permissions of checking logs, prism, etchera, however, this team can only and will only answer questions and also aid players visually.

Correct, this could be a pretty good suggestion if the player base atleast increases, but shouldn't we let it take into consideration atleast? There's nothing negative on implementing this.

Exactly, Helpers and Moderators can handle it, however, this kind of team will have a new seperate job. Helpers and Moderators can focus into handling the player reports, forum reports, refund requests, accusations of hacking, scamming, duping, theft, scam, etchetera, but on the other hand, this kind of team will handle player questions, visual assistance to players and a detailed introduction or atleast teach them the basics of MeepCraft, it wouldn't be really hard to introduce what kind of things we are offering for the players.

The newb just somehow got to my mind and you shouldn't really take it seriously, calling someone a newb doesn't affect them in any way. It's nothing but a shortcut of the word 'Newbie', this means that they're new to this kind of stuff and the moderation team is in-charged of assisting them with their questions.

And no, staff ranks wouldn't be confusing if we declare it to the server globally and thoroughly. Junior Helpers, Helpers and Senior Helpers are far way different than Moderators, Administrators and so on.

I do see your point here regarding the Helpers. Because I did think that Helpers are the ones who are handling the questions and basic reports, nothing more. However, it isn't really a problem at all and I hope this suggestion gets taken into consideration.

The point of this suggestion isn't regarding the wrong nor the rights of the staff team, but it's an introduction to a new level on how we could assist the players, if you want to know how, scroll up and read my replies to each reply here. If you think some players are flaming the staff team, take evidence, screenshot it and report them. It's a simple process and the process goes on.

Moderator requests are different from this type of suggestion, my point here is, players that wants to assist players, be it using the means of chat or by teleporting to them visually and assist them, it's by introducing them to the MeepCraft and so on. From my perspective, The purpose of modreqs are to handle a situation with opposing sides and resolve the said issue. This staff team won't be able to handle that other than answering questions.

If you have questions or something that you are confused, if you want how /visually aiding a player/ means, feel free to ask me here or start a forum conversation and I'll explain it as simple as I could.

The current staff team is doing a good job in moderation and assisting new players, so I don't see why this would be beneficial. We don't need a larger staff team.
