Skyblock suggestion

Top islands. This idea I sort of got it from clash of clans. In clash of clans, the top 3 clans get a certain amount of gems (Skyblock coins), and it is divided equally among how many people are in clan.
So for Skyblock, the top 3 clans get 5k-20k coins and it is divided equally among the players. So if the #1 island is Lvl 2000, after 2 weeks, there will be a winner and same with the #2 and #3. Then, there is another season, the island levels do not reset though.

The idea does not have to be exactly the same, but maybe on the same line. Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, what's the purpose for implementing something like this?

Imagine this scenario: You have five skyblock islands: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. They're level 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997, and 1996, respectively. As you say, the top three islands (1, 2, and 3) win the prize. They then invest the prize to improve their island, and next week they're 2020, 2010, 2005 (the end of the prizes) 1999, and 1998 respectively. You can imagine what would happen from here on out--the top islands would use their initial dominance to win the prize, which would then be very difficult for other islands to overcome without a tremendous amount of dedication. Basically, the top three islands would strangle out the other islands, and people would quit playing skyblock once the lead is insurmountable.

I eralize this is a bit of a slippery-slope fallacy, but it's entirely realistic.

-1 just so you know 5k coins can be sold for 200k meebles, and if someone's island is at like level 10000 and the 2nd is at 1000, gl beating the first... ( it was referred to endergaming24's island with 80000 island levels and evil_eyes269's 20000 island levels before the reset, and 3rd is at 8000 if i didn't remember wrong, it's rly hard to beat top 3, and what are coins used for in skyblock? diamonds? Because iron and gold, there are a generator for it.. And diamonds are supposed to be hard to get, not just a supply of them every 2 weeks...

 

Denied due to negative community feedback + it would not be fair because there are usually only one or two islands that is at the top and they would just get the top prizes each time. Good suggestion though, we hope to add more things to Skyblock soon
