I guess I should of posted a "Back on Forums thread" but a small message can do it. Well there you have it, I'm back on forums after months of being in the shadows and having a totally wiped account! Will I be active on forums? It's hard to tell, but I have no doubt that I'll get once again addicted. I'm pumped that I'm back again, and it's nice seeing you all. If you have no clue who I am, my new in game is (xAlexbearx).

I'm aware that some suggestions get sucked up in the dark part of trello, or spark a lot of controversy, or just aren't good at all. I thought I'd give it a shot though, and suggest a suggestion that's come around numerous times. With ctf coming around the corner and a ton of things that need attention, if this suggestion gets blown away in the dust that's fine with me.

    Suggestion Summary:
I know that a lot of ultimates yearn to have the supreme color again because they find the orange to be disgusting. Personally I don't mind it, but this suggestion would appeal to those who do. There would be a command that would allow the player to switch from purple to orange and vise versa. However, there would be a wait time so that messages wouldn't become confusing. The poll is above.

    Conclusion:

Hopefully, despite my "coming back message" and my intro this was a straightforward, simple suggestion. I welcome all other ideas to add on to this. If this suggestion doesn't make the cut because of the ideas I gave, I don't want this to be closed. If someone else has a better idea below that is satisfactory, I'd rather that suggestion be accepted then for this whole thread to be denied. :)

I'd say every 24 or 48 hours. It puts a limit on it and prevents it from being too spammy, but is still fair. I know, personally, that I would get purple and most likely stick with that forever.

    The problem --
Elites wont upgrade to supreme and/or elite/supremes wont upgrade to ult because of the dislike of the next rank's chat color.
    Solution: Allow to change colors.

    A problem --
Adding a plugin or a command for an ultimate or supreme to change to a different chat color, regardless of it being a new color, a previous color, or a color they would already have (Example: Supreme changed color to white and now they want purple again) has been told to be impossible. I don't know if that's actually true, I do not code. but that exists.

A solution: An admin can create another rank "Group" Which is how permissions are organized and how staff members get a staff rank - A staff rank is applied on top of a donor rank. A staff rank can also be removed and a donor rank can also be changed at will (As an example, some ex staff got a downgrade from ult to supreme since they didnt want orange chat, and ranks can be upgraded manually in the case of a donation error and I never got the VIP I donated for etc)
So ranks can 100% be changed manually and another group can be added.
This would be done with an "Ult white" "Ult purple" "Ult orange" group, and these would be identical groups with the exception of chat color. This way, my current ultorange group can be removed, and the ultpurple be added, now I am still ultimate with purple.

I just had another idea too - What if there was an added /g command?
/gp (Global purple) /go (global orange /gw (Global white)
These would essentially have the same effect of useing an & code, without an & code actually being enabled. When using /g by itself it would be the default color of your rank. So if an ult did /g hi it would be an orange hi but if they did /gp hi it'd be purple.

    /g and /gw are available for cit-elite
    add /gp for supreme
    add /go for ult.

I don't know if this could be a lasting effect put on a timer (LIke I do /gp and it gives me purple, but I cannot change it to /go for 24 hours. ) That would help reduce color changing spam. Or people can just like read and it can be per message. The rank title would stay default color regardless, so ult tag would always be orange regardless of chat color

Once again as I state on every single one of the color changing threads, I do not understand why we would not make a change that can help increase donations.

Your point is moot, server is blacklisted therefor there is already a ceiling in place to limit success. Petition Fuzzlr to get back on track then this is viable, otherwise it's pointless.

This is a good idea. Have two commands that would allow the player to switch colors. /gp would allow an ult to speak in purple, and /go would allow them to speak in orange. Except once a player does one of those commands, it would be set to the default chat color and the player would be able to use /g normally. Every time a player would want to switch, the timer would stop them for a certain period of time. (/go would only be used once the player has switched to purple, or perhaps it's not needed at all and the player would just use /g like they normally would). Of course, since this is a better idea and it hasn't been included in my original post, this whole thread is going to get denied because this wasn't in it. (I see that my original idea poses some flaws) Hmph, I wonder.

Didn't expect you to be familiar with this since you've been away, but this was added to the list of auto-denied suggestions.
