"have you tried turning it off and on again"
    yes

aight so, my cat being my cat, decided to eat my headphone wires(sure they were tasty). the headphones that i used before kitty rekt them, used USB slot. i had no other headphones that used the USB slot so i had to use the audio jack(green and pink, green for outpost pink for input, you probably know). anyways, i got 7-8 devices including bluetooth earbuds, headsets, speakers and pretty much any output device you can imagine.
so the bluetooth wasn't an option because custom built computers don't like to have bluetooth things. then every other device had an echo sound effect

it's not about the devices i'm sure since it happens to ALL OF THEM
    it's about the computer
is there a way to turn off echoing? it's really pissing me off

TL;DR I NEED TO TURN OF WINDOWS 7 ECHO SOUND EFFECT THING
    ITS ANNOYING.

    Follow the instructions down here:

    1. gather all your damaged devices and put them in a bag
    2. find a river, an ocean, a desert, a very high altitude or just use your toilets if you can't find any of earlier cited places
    3. close your eyes and throw the bag while saying: " I wish to (...) " /* Complete the (...) with your wish */
    4. leave the area without looking back at the bag
    5. wait, and be very patient..

Ok bloopers, What audio drivers do you have, cause this just seems like a driver trying to be smart by ajusting the EQ to add reverb and other effects, open start and search for "real tech hd audio manager" if that is you audio driver and you arn't fully stupid then playing around in there should fix your problem.

If that doesn't fix it navigate to your control panel and look for hardware and sound underneath it in small text it should say "View devices and printers" open it up and find your headphones, uninstall them unplug your headphones restart the pc plug headphones back in and it should be "fixed"

I actually have this issue on my old laptop and it's the main reason I bought a new headset. If I find anything, I'll be sure to post it. :)
