Salvaging

Hello Meep,

With the removal of /repair, I believe that we need more ways to lvl up our /salvage. Currently, the only 2 abilities that affect your salvage level are your repair level and your fishing level. With repair removed, it's quite difficult to lvl up salvage and I believe we need a new way to do so.

I think you are taking this the wrong way. I assume that LargeUnit wants another mcmmo skill to level up salvage. You could make the argument that you could smelt iron/gold armor to get iron/gold nuggets, but that is a waste of time and resources. The meepcraft staff should either 1. Lower the level of fishing required to get salvage or 2. Open up another skill to level up to get salvage.

I don't think that /salvage has its place in an economy server. /repair may possibly have a place if the amount of raw materials it takes to repair a tool is high enough to sufficiently take diamonds out of the market. Currently, the situation with using anvils to repair tools works fine, as it takes levels, iron, and diamonds (or similar tools) to repair your tools, and you can extend the life of any god tool far beyond the point of it being a suitable investment.

 

I think the only solution to this crisis is /anvil

yeah i have one, but it seems a lot of people are just like "DO YOU REALLY EXPECT ME TO GET 3 BLOCKS OF IRON, AND 4 IRON BARS, THEN MAKE AN ANVIL USING A COMPLETELY NOT-COMPLICATED RECIPE??????"

No, there's another thing (At least imo) and that's XP. I find it hard to get XP here, so i rarely use it, especially with an enchanted piece of gear.

Go down to layer 11 in /warp wild, mine in a 2x2/3x3 hole depending on how far you want to mine, then, accumulate enough diamonds to craft an entire set of diamond armor and tools. Go to /pwarp grinder and grind till you have 30 exp points, and try and get a fortune book, or, you can try and fish up a fortune book.

Once you do that, combine your pick with the fortune book, and happy mining.

 

Or just go to /pwarp grinder or any other grinder and grind for XP

 

I believe repairing (mcmmo) was removed because it was broken. It will come back, so they don't really need to add another way to get it.

Again, nobody wants to put effort into anything. Earn money, gather materials, enchant things, repair on an anvil. Quit expecting everything to be bought/handed to you with commands and perks.
