RIP Mending

Hello all. So after much debate its been decided that mending is to be removed for now.

BEFORE YOU FREAK OUT.
Fix notes have been added to voting, and this has allowed us to keep an otherwise scratched plan.

First what will happen:
A shop is being placed in spawn to sell your mending books. If you do not sell, they will turn into normal books at 4:00am.

Believe me, i know it stinks but its what needs to be done for now. You guys will be compensated with whats coming up however.

Along with the money you get for the books you have and the fix notes you can get, this has allowed us to create a new job in the upcoming jobs update. This job will be able to fix armor for players and get paid for it. This job was scratched until we realized how awesome it would be now.

Ill also be throwing $250,000 of my diamonds into lava today to uncelebrate this occasion. Yay.

Thank you for being understanding and we will work with some of you on a est server to see if we can reimpliment a less OP version of mending in the future.

Look at the benefits, though.
With the removal of the super OP stuff (The shop, mending, nerfing voting) we can heavily increase the money you get from stuff like jobs, we can make the game fun and worth actually playing instead of people siting there and the rich getting richer.

 

The enchantment will be removed. Not all, just mending.

 

At this point, the server isn't really meant to be fun. There is tons of exploits people are finding everyday and keeping a secret. What's the point of spending time on /warp shop, and fixing voting by 1k a vote........ when people are able use their exploits. /warp shop was like a stock market of some sort, buy items for cheap and sell them at /warp shop.... and isn't a huge purpose of the server? Stocks? If your going to do all the stupid changes, bring back stocks.

 

And every time. We had to reset everyones progress at a point.

Also if you have exploits and dont tell us, how the heck can you blame us for it not working? Your logic is obscure.

I feel that removing mending will be the best for the eco.

 

Add /fix back: /fix now will cost meebles, depends on quality of items and enchants on items.

hmm, fix notes in voting? Not actually a bad idea because it could be worth something to vote for. Also, I never liked mending, thought it was always to op. Even in single player people are saying "it's to good to be true" and it's "overpowered."

 

Awesome, how did I see this coming, also how do fix notes work, is it /fix for a time or u can /fix say 5 items

no, you need items sinks in the game, not money sinks, there are enough for the time being, but with the addition of mending AND unbreaking tools are almost unbreakable with xp grinders, thus it is a good idea to get rid of the mending enchantment to create a stable market for tools and enchantments
