    Let me put a little bit of coal into the fire, shall I? *hint hint*

    Basically, I know that you are aware of all the problems Parkour has at this moment, and that you are working on it the best you can (I am not even sure if that was meant to be sarcastic), I just felt the responsibility to make this thread in order to speed this matter a bit up, less it be forgotten for the next few months (as is a trend with anything Parkour related, sadly).

    I will say the obvious first.

    Coal Blocks

    Great system, amazing system, except, not so much. It could have been a great system if it was anything near consistent, it could have been an amazing system if it was tweaked. It isn't, it wasn't and I fear it won't be for a while. I still have high hopes that this:

    Good, you removed Ultimate Ice parkour for now, *pfew*, one problem down, the coal block system in that particular Parkour map didn't work most of the time.

    Flowers, oh boy. I might be a bit biased on this one, but what the hell? The whole point of the Flowers parkour was to make a progressive set of courses for 3 different difficulty levels rewarded accordingly. With the addition of the coal block system you effectively (Parkour) Playing parkour in map obiwankenobi removed the reward from the first and second flower and moved it all onto the last, difficult one. Beats the purpose if you ask me. I see no motivation in doing the course if I don't feel like struggling with the last stage. The force is strong with the coal blocks in this one. It just refuses to return you to Flowers if you die, instead it takes you to your latest City checkpoint - I recommend doing a check on it's Midi-chlorians.

    Jungle, good old jungle, I will just leave you be...

    Ultimate city. It might have caught something from the Ultimate ice one. I seriously recommend getting it checked out. It shows indication of major CBD (coal block disfunction), could end badly if it won't be treated.

    Ca...cacti-thingy. Beyond hope of fixing the CBD. Several relogs usually don't help battle the symptons of CBD. The whole map seems like a project half finished. I mean, nothing will be worse than the pathetic Cactus thing we had a couple months ago, where people just jump-glitched their way to a 25000 reward in a matter of 5 seconds... but it is pretty close. In all honesty, the very first (as far as I can remember) Cactus parkour was the best.

    Village... countryside or whatever. *Yay* you fixed the fence/wall glitch! *High-five*. Now move along Village, go join Jungle, you'll be fine together.


    Oh why yes! I am glad you asked. I am very salty. I basically live(d) in Parkour. It hurts my soul seeing it in the state it's in right now.


    Let's just take a moment for the memory of:

    Stronghold Parkour - because it was quote, unquote: Beyond repair

    Slick's Ice - because it felt the need to retire with its Master.

    Ultimate Ice - first confirmed victim of CBD

    Planets - good riddance



    Well that will be all from me for now. Don't be harsh at me, of course I am joking around with you, but in all seriousness, Parkour should be given a little bit more priority than it has right now.

    I know it's immature, but I found bringing up issues that are ignored in game and it is usually addressed. I think we are making progress; hopefully parkour will be fixed next

    Right. Forgive me if I am not going to share your optimism. Considering your position and what you just said, let me take a wild guess.
    You (as in the development staff team) made one or two new parkours. That's all sweet and well. Will that change the overall approach to Parkour? I doubt it.

    It is something like this: Parkour gets assigned 1 hour of work monthly. If they release something new and it doesn't work properly, it isn't going to get fixed right away, no, it has to wait until the next month for its dedicated hour. Won't get fixed either? Well, another month it is.

    And only because we kept pestering them lmao.
    It was approved to be implemented after it won a spot in a contest but after several months of patience we had to get on them about it.

    That does sound like Meepcraft ;)

    But seriously guys, hands down. Job well done. I like the atmosphere Balloon Fest has. The only other course with a similar 'vibe' would be Countryside parkour.

    All the others seem cold, plain, done with a single purpose: to be a parkour field, not a aesthetically pleasing enviroment.

    I am not saying that it is a requirement for Parkour courses, no, but achieving a combination of a decent challenge in a Parkour map and a beautiful blent-in scenery is amazing :)

    Firstly, I think the maps should be tweaked, or at least another ONE added. But yes, I do agree that this should be fixed. Many times I have picked one parkour, for example city, and then it ends up putting me in cactus. And it spams my chat which is really annoying. At least that part should be fixed.

    They better remove it forever. It's completely unenjoyable.
    I used to live in parkour as well, it was the only reason I stayed here for so long. I was actually told a while back before all the parkour improvements that these parkours would be brought back. Other than City, these are definitely my favorite maps because they are actually challenging and enjoyable. Planet is the only parkour that even a master could brag about beating. I started playing it a lot soon before it got taken down, so I never got to finish it.
    As for Stronghold, I have beaten it multiple times (while it was taken down) and it is like a shorter version of Planet. This one disappoints me more because there was never even a prize sign for beating it, and it's way better than some of the parkours we have today (flower, cactus).

    I honestly want to play every parkour, even ult ice, slicks ice, planets and stronghold even if there is no prize, the parkours we have now IMO is too easy, I know there is a new parkour map coming out (Not gonna tell what the map is for, all i can say it can be one of the hardest if you're new to it), but me and ajlpikachu can speedrun every parkour now easily under 1 hour, even if we're stuck on a map for more than 10 minutes ( I was stuck on cactus, and ajl on balloon) and we still managed to get 53 minutes or so..
    And sometimes to claim prize or checkpoint i an forced to relog..

    Yes and... no.

    Even though I agree with you on the point, that the current set of parkour courses is easily doable in a short time for experienced people and gives little to no challenge nor enjoyability to such people, I don't agree, that adding more challenging maps should be a priority in the future of Parkour, due to a very simple reason; it would affect a TINY playerbase of Meepcraft. What does the server get back from satisfying a small group of people? Nothing.

    The purpose of this thread was to put more priority on fixing the current issues with Parkour before anything else. Make that part of the server more enjoyable for the general populace, define and unify the difficulty/reward. Have a variety of products for as many customers as possible. Fix the product, don't add onto it and leave it broken for months.

    I appreciate your feedback on this and I am pretty sure you two will be satisfied with the new parkour maps, however, I don't want this thread to turn into "Add more to Parkour" matter, I want it to serve as a reminder, that Parkour is not doing well and will not if things are not going to change.

    Yes, I know that fixing parkour is better, checkpoint system obviously need to be fixed, that's a +100, but I would prefer adding parkour maps as well, since its gets rid of the boredom of completing the same parkour maps over and over...
