Pwarp Portals

This is another idea to improve Pwarp shop usability and to help advertise their shops on the server.

Right now 70% of "Official Meepers" still don't seem to have a clue about towns, pwarps, chest shops or anything.

To make things a little easier specifically for Pwarp shop owners I'd like to float the idea of creating a pwarp portal area maybe call it /warp pwarp or something and advertise it/link it to spawn like towny's or skyblock or whatever.

In this area we'd simply have a bunch of portals with a Pwarp name over each one and maybe some basic info like Towny A or B. That way people can physically come to a place, try a portal, and then go back and try another portal if they don't find what they're looking for.

This Pwarp Portal area could be an additional cost/or some other cost to get a portal. Maybe the idea would be to set standard Pwarps at 2K per day and then Portal Pwarps at 3k per day. That way someone who has /Pwarp food for example (isn't making anything from it just doing noobs a service) can save some $ while someone like /pwarp Ebon or /Pwarp stores can possibly get a little more attention by spending a little extra. It's like advertising.

I think the benefits is that it would cut down on some of the advertising chat traffic and make it simpler for someone to find a specific pwarp especially if they can't quite remember if it was /pwarp ezmoney or /pwarp ezzzzzzzzzmoney

 

I'd like to know where you got this statistic.

 

Personal experience. more than 70% of people I have interacted with that say "Can I join a Town" will just stand there or maybe even never come to a town once they join it. Probably 20% post that message when they're already in a town, the remaining 10% are VIP or higher and generally have some slight idea how to claim plots.

Also, the number of people that I've assisted at my shop who could buy but didn't know how to sell (Left click....) is stupid high. If the newbie guide doesn't have a chest shop tutorial in it we need to add it. It will make life so much easier.

 

then the real suggestion should be add a guide, not make things more complicated.

 

+1 to the General idea HOWEVER there can't be to many portals/whatever else we use so we need to make it cost a lot, or atleast enough to balance the demand.

 

I don't mind this idea, maybe 100K per week and 5 - 10 portals?

Rich get richer
Newbies will exclusively shop at the portal pwarps. People will have a harder time catching up with the established players on the server.

 

Yeah because the MeepGuide and the buttload of signs are such a success story...

Make it cost a reasonable daily amount (less than actual /pwarp)
Make the portals rotate randomly between registered /pwarps at set time intervals.
Charge users of portals like 20 or 50 meebles per use

I personally can't be bothered remembering or writing down each new pwarp I come across, I will use this as will any other lazy person (basically 95%+ of players)

BTW 71% of statistics are made up on the spot
