Pvp Staff

I totally agree with Bam's idea. My friend DJ_NINJA62 who is a Elite (atm the name is SergentDJ) got banned, because a citizen thought he was hacking in Kitpvp. The Citizen made a video, with effects etc, and a MOD accepted it and perm banned him. He was not a hacker and eventually got unbanned, as the staff relised it was a mistake. Staff do not know hackers when they see them. Most people are just really good...

The biggest issue is that you would eventually have two groups doing two very different workloads, which could lead to internal issues.

What is the next level for PvP-Helper, Mod? Would they have the same experience/training as a normal helper to deal with modreqs, questions, etc.

Would a PVP-Helper need to do modreqs regarding theft, harassment, griefing, etc?

What group of players would you pick from for PvP-Helper? If I recall ,a lot of PvPers have had a history of attitude issues, and a lot of helpers that have been brought on for their PvP experience, has ended quite unfortunately in most cases.

Do you add a supermod to oversee this new group of staff?



The answer is not recruiting more people, but rather training the people you have to do the job that is needed. If they cannot do that job, then they simply don't need to be staff.

What should happen is bad bans should weigh negatively on the staff who issued them, with an arbitrary number of bad bans leading to their demotion. This would motivate staff to put more thought into issuing a ban, because it could cost them as well, if done inadequately.

When I was part of the staff team, there were basically a few people that took care of PvP modreqs/banreqs - I believe at the time was Flamedemond2, Bluecarneal, and Slicknsly. It was almost always directed or reviewed by Fd2 though. He also began teaching me how to tell if someone was hacking or not, so that I could handle those cases later.

For the amount of players that are playing now, and especially how many PvP, having a separate team for PvP would be very silly. The better option would be to simply record evidence of the hacker (invis/god mode for mods made this really easy, dunno if they still have it), have whoever knows how to identify hacks verify that they are hacking, and then ban them.

 

Im gonna say the same thing that I say to everyone when talking about this.
90% of the time when you modreq a hacker, the hacker is gone within 10 minutes.
And we have so many staff right now that its very so very rarely an issue and there are almost never more tha 3 modreq at a time.
Its not really an issue. This isn't needed.

 

yes and every time you report a cheater for cheating they get banned / rebanned 4 times and eventually unbanned since the staff all have different agendas
