We will be seeing the rise of Minecraft 1.8 soon.

When this happens, Mojang will start allowing you to change your Minecraft usernames.
Please note that if you change your username:

• You will lose ALL of your data (Meebles, Items, Towns & Residency, Hiscores, etc)
  
• You will lose ALL of your donator ranks
• No one will know who you are! You will be a loner.
• Someone else can steal your old username and your assets above!

For this reason we ask you, do not change your username!

An administrator will not help you recover your assets if you do!

I will be starting a new business endeavor as of the 1.8 update.
I will give you a code via /pm to confirm your identity after the name-change, you /pay me your earnings, then you can go change your name, /pm me the code I gave you, and I will return your meebles to you, minus a 10% transfer fee. Safe, quick, simple.

 

Luckily, to my knowledge, Mojang will be charging for username changes. Not many people will be switching their username after all!

 

Then it wont be as cool or rare. Thus making them lame and uncool. They'll just be like villager trading!
