Pets - My Vision

When pets come out, I have a couple ideas that I'm pretty sure haven't been planned yet.

Pet GUI
Typing /pet will open a GUI with a list of all the pets you own and an option to buy a new pet. Clicking on 'Buy a Pet' will open another GUI titled 'Pet Shop.' It will show different spawn eggs to select a pet. Some pets can only be bought for a specific rank. Like Ultimate can have a bat, blaze, and other flying mobs. Clicking on a pet you own will bring up options for different things:

-Pet age - real time, when it reaches 90 days it will grow into an adult. (note that some pets don't have adult versions so maybe the name color can change)
-Riding your pet - Clicking this will open a GUI where you must place a saddle. Once saddle is on pet you can ride him/her. Only adults can be ridden.
-Naming/Renaming - Open an anvil where you can type a pet name. Cannot change name until an adult.
-Food & Water - You have to feed your pet or it will die/go back to day 1 mode. It has the same hunger system a player does so you can feed a pig porkchops.

kinda useless but it would be cool.

 

I like the idea of this, I think it would be an interesting addition.

There's this other server I play on that has pets. It's basically all the mobs from the game, and you can ride em, and do whatever.
Just wanted to say that :C

Make it so you don't have to feed them not as often.

 

Yeah I truly like this! I always waited for Pets but it never happened... Also, im pretty sure everyone will find it fun to own a pet that you can care. You could do /pet anywhere, except Kitpvp and skyblock.

Yeah I want one. It would be Ult only...'cause flying pet and its kinda op. :I
(And Ult has already low perks I demand dragons for us)

 

Or you could only hatch them with the current Dragon Eggs.

Uhh you do know that there is not alot Dragon eggs? Its better that we can buy egg and hatch it...or just spawn egg. :I

 

Yeah ik. Spawn eggs would be cool though. But in vanilla they don't work. Unless admins could figure something out.

 

Tbh I don't think a bat can hold my weight.

 

Some of your ideas are good!

Age: +/- 90 days is a long time. Clever, but also what if someone wants a pet to not be full grown?
Riding: +1 it would be fun, and there is no issue with that.
names: -1. Use a name tag. Also waiting until an adult is kind of dumb.
Food and water: +1 this is really clever and fun. Having to take care if your pet or it will be returned!

 

I'm too lazy to feed it that often. *Goes back to the TV*
