Well what made me love meep when I first joined (around 2013 August) was the player base its self. I could talk to people and have a real conversation. If meep had a lot of people that were chatting with new people/not about their adds, that would be a big thing.

 

Mineplex has this.

 

Honestly most of my friends that played on here and I'm guessing many that left, left because their town closed. Or they couldn't get residents into their town, making their town close as well.

 

I can say this with utmost certainty.

We are the largest towny server

It's kinda sad, but, as the largest towny server left, we need to focus on towns. No mini games. There are many people out there looking for a towny server, and its almost impossible to see ours, even though we're one of the last ones,

Idk, really, idk. We need to get our s togheter, and focus on towny.

There is literally no suggestion here. If you have a tangible, do-able idea (see this thread for do's and do nots), then please suggest it! Moving this to discussion.

 

No one plays towny though. I love towny but 95% of minecraft players don't. Even Fuzzlr knows that. They like minigames.

 

The biggest problem with that is nobody has ever really heard of Towny. Virtually everyone has heard of minigames and Factions, but Towny just isn't well-known. 75-85% of players in Tutorial I meet have not even heard of Towny.

 

I think meep needs to try to not be something it is not. Meep was never about minigames for me, i stayed because of the towny on the server. It was stable, they were creating and working with the economy. They were customizing the economy and the towny plugin. That is what i think we should do, remove most minigames that takes a lot of ressources to fix/add and then work on the towny part of the server. And keeping some minigames is good but it is kinda like stuffing, it should not be the main part of the server in my opinion. In my opinion the main issue is that there is not priority list for the server, like towny could be a priority. That means that if something happens to the towny plugin that needs to be fixed. It will be assigned to as soon as possible. You could say that they are doing that like with the /shop being down. But there are still major economy issues like there is no outlet for spawners and there is no restrictions on spawned items that can be sold to the shop. These are issues that are having a huge long time effect on the economy and it needs to be fixed/changed.
