Nerf /fix

We're an Economy server, /fix is extremely op.

I'm not suggesting we get rid of it, I'm suggesting we nerf it.
You can only use /fix 5 times per item as Elite.
10 times as Supreme
20 times as Ultimate

 

I agree with you about nerfing /fix though I think that we should put a time limit like maybe you can only use /fix every 1 hour or so, maybe longer.

I think having a limited amount of uses is kind of fair, and with that making Supreme + Ultimate worth more.


By the time you get 5 /fixes on a diamond pickaxe, you would have the equivalent of about 10 new ones. lol.

If anything, we should be buffing perks to increase the amount of donators

 

I see the economic reason for doing this, but I also see a reason to not do this with involves actual money.

Pros:

• The god tools that people love to sell will actually become slightly valuable again
• Diamonds (And to an extent iron) will have more value in the market

Cons:

• Extreme rioting and disagreement will occur due to elites+ who like to have /fix as it is
• God Tools that people love to sell may become a bit pricey for people with less money
• A perk that some people paid for will not be in the rank anymore, giving less incentive to donate for the rank.
• Overall bad trust from server->player. Ex: If I donate for /feed in premium, what are the odds that it could be removed because it doesn't let food have value?

I'm at a -1 but both sides do have viable arguments.

 

Maybe not limited times per item but limited /fix a day/week


Maybe 10 /fix a day
Or if it was by week, 70 /fix

we could do /fix used to see how many /fix is left/used

 

Personally, I think /fix should be left as is. It is stupid that minecraft put a limit to the amount of times you can repair a pic. But with the Mending enchantment in 1.9, all the controversy over /fix should be gone.

 

-1 when I got elite it was the main perk I wanted and I forked out $120 AUD for you Americans I don't want it taken away or nerfed even

While nerfing some stuff is a good idea in theory, we've crossed threshold where doing this would cause distrust and grievance in the community. -1

 

This has always been what I looked up to achieving when I looked at those beautiful elite members. /fix and spawners were the coolest perks next to /fly!
I don't think the community would take kindly to one of their most beloved commands being nerfed. This is one thing they have left to cling to since villagers, gold, and iron farms were nerfed

 

Piro has made a very good reminder. /fix will be a better way to fix tools still, but the addition of Mending would counteract any nerfs done.

Have you recently seen our monthly donation goal? /fix is one of the ONLY commands worth donating for, much less coughing up 80USD and you're worried about what it might do to the arbitrary prices of diamonds

 

It's a good idea for the economy, but its honestly not worth the riots from our Elite+ members.

 

i like the idea but the blowback would just be too loud.
