My apologies.

As you probably all know, I was recently banned, along with the rest of Pseudocorp, and I wanted to take this opportunity to apologize. I know it won’t make things right, but at least it can give y’all some closure.

To the community: I’m sorry for my role in unbalancing the economy. Together, we probably spawned in around 60-70 million meebles, which obviously doomed the economy from the start. Though only a small fraction of those meebles (probably 3-4 million) eventually made it into circulation, it still irreparably damaged the eco, and took things away from hard-working players who deserved the recognition.

To the countless people who bought duped items and laundered money: I’m especially sorry for you. I don’t know what repercussions you faced, but I know you were completely innocent and for the most part had no knowledge of the duping going on behind the scenes. That especially applies to you, @7acespade.

To my friends who always believed in me: I don’t know what to say. I apologize for breaking your trust in me and letting you all down. To everyone who encouraged me to apply the staff team, I proved you wrong. I know there’s no way to repair the damage I’ve done, and it’s probably too much to ask for a new start. But I hope you’ll forgive me anyways.

To the staff team: I’m sorry for my role in this entire fiasco. Powered by the desire to get rich, I decided to do so the illegitimate way. I wasted your time and efforts to develop a balanced economy and a fun server for everyone else. This is especially true for @KlutchDecals, who trusted me a ton—obviously I crumpled that trust up and threw it in the garbage bin. But most of all, you guys had to catch us, ban us, wipe us, and deal with the aftermath of this entire mess when you could have been thinking of ways to improve the server. So for that, I’m sorry.

I still haven’t decided if I’ll appeal or not; in a lot of ways, I have to move on with life. I’ll definitely stick around on the forums though, even if I don’t appeal in game—while this sounds weird to say, my nostalgia keeps me coming back. And despite my actions, I want to see the server succeed in the future, and I can’t help but keep tabs on y’all, if only from a distance.

 

I can't decide which of the following is the dumbest:

1) Thinking you wouldn't get caught
2) Spawning 60-70 million in a short period instead of very slowly
3) Thinking you would feel accomplished for being illegimately rich
4) Not a single person reporting the bug earlier
5) Deciding exploitation was a good idea

I can't even begin to understand the logic of any of these 5 things.

I don't know many people on meepcraft, and I view most staff and post-staff members neutrally (and a handful negatively), but you are one of the small number of staff members that I viewed quite positively.

Shame.

 

To be completely fair, I spawned in about 200k slowly over two weeks--I was being fairly "smart" about it and in all likelihood wouldn't have gotten caught, if it wasn't for the rest of everyone else being cocky about it.

Does this make it right? Obviously not--I still duped, and didn't report the glitch. But I wasn't the one spawning in 25 mil at a time.

Hey man, don't let one ban hold back your future endeavors here. If you want proof that the community can still accept you after a ban (or 20) look at my history Besides, we all make mistakes.

You were one of my favorite staff members when you were on the team, would love to see you back there one day

I don't know what to say, mate. I was surprised that you xrayed because I only trusted you, Kiara and Kevin from Thebes but mate only you can change all of yourself and I hope you learn from it and teach others not to

 

Sad to see that you made this mistake. Over the years I thought pretty well of you and hopefully you can take an extended break and appeal in the future. Just a message to anyone that wants to dupe items.... You're going to get caught. This isn't the age of log block or manual searches anymore, plug-ins to find xrayers/dupers etc. are complex and its just a matter of time before the poop hits the fan. Thankfully in this case most of the money didn't flood into the eco but harm was definitely done.

 

How did you guys even dupe and add money into the eco? Was it abusing jobs or similar? (There was no shop, so I don't understand)

 

Just dropped by the forums and saw this.

The Metro I knew wouldn't do this. Definitely disappointed in you man. But we all have made mistakes, and you'll learn from this. Just be a good guy like you always were.

You probably shouldn't be asking how to dupe. Kind of defeats the point of trying to keep the eco safe from harm.

 

By the point that they got banned, I'm sure tech/admins immediately took down /hat.

I don't have the intent to dupe, never have, barely play, and was curious how money was brought into the eco when /shop wasn't a thing (in this case, selling gold blocks)

 

What was pseudocorp anyways?

 

Pseudogod aka Krazycat600 created pseudocorp. Which had shops, slots and more in it.
