Mourning

As many of you might know by now my grandfather died of a heart attack tonight. I can't believe how many people have already tried to console me. All of you seriously make my life go in a better direction. I love ALL of you. My grandfather died so my activity might be affected. Nevertheless I believe it won't harm it as much.

The funeral is this Friday. Thanks for the love and support and giving me the courage to power through. God bless you all and peace

I know how you feel. I've never had a grand parent pass away, but I have had a close family member pass away.

Mine died recently as well. He was home alone whilst his wife was judging a dog show. -Debrief- We have like 20 sets of stairs at my grandparents house. But to get to the second floor, you have to climb up 40+ things of steps.
My Grandfather fell down these stairs above 3/4 from the top. He had broken his noes, blood was everywhere, he couldn't stop the bleeding. His neck had also been broken in the fall, I was unaware at this time. He crawled 30ft (He was 79 at the time) to the couch. Laid down head up, He couldn't make it to the phone before passing out. One of the ladies that works at my grand parents dog kennel came in early and found him like this, completely covered in blood etc etc. She called 911 immediately. (They're about 30miles from the city hospital) He gets airlifted to the hospital, my grandma hears about this, drives 4hours from across the state to see him, so does other family members etc etc. He had drowned in his own blood, due to him laying down with a still broken and blood gushing noes.

But when the doctors were preforming surgery on him they had pulled out the blood that had gone down into his longs, and it was a dried up blood clot of the veins inside of his lung and his throat. I have a picture of it, but due to ''semi graphic content'' I'll not show it.
Being out of contact with my Grandparents for so long after my parents divorce a couple of years ago, I had only found out about what had happened to him a few days later. After being told I kept a straight face and tried to act normal in front of my dad. But after coming to an empty room I couldn't but stop myself from crying. This was the man that I went fishing with every single day when I was in 3-4th grade. This was the man that didn't care of who I was, or what I did. This was the man that took care of me when my father was deployed to Afghanistan. This was the man that the last words I ever said to him were ''See you soon'' 3 years ago.
What if it had happened to my father? Or someone else's father?

It was strange, because the night of and the night before, I kept thinking to myself ''I should go down there and catch up with them, say something to them, it's been so long.''
If only I did, if only I had.

Sorry if this is hard to read or understand, It's hard to type when you're crying and dying a little inside.

 

stay strong! when i was 10 someone in my family passed away, i didn't get it so i just cried until i couldn't cry anymore. Just stay strong, things will get better and you should just think about the life he lived and not that it's over.

A lot of people come and go. It is all a part of life. It happens to all of us, sometimes it's just bad timing. But believe me people tried to save him, it doesn't always work sadly. But he is now in a better place, watching over you. He wants to see you smile, so put even the smallest smile. Everyone deserves to smile, even in the darkest of times. Life is short, enjoy every little tiny moment of happiness or sadness because you will look back and laugh one day, maybe not at this, but this little storm will pass, just like all the others do too. We just gotta look at the sunlight because even on the darkest of days, there will always be a sunrise. He is watching you and he wants you to be happy, so make him happy by being happy. It's odd to say it. But this is more than a game to me. Not saying I don't have a life because I do. But you guys are there for me even more than my real friends are, after talking with @_Peridonyx_ @Fortemizuki and @Muunkee - Alexia and @LadyCass I do realize it takes time. You people mean do much to me. Because you aren't pixels, your humans. I feel bad for offending anyone or being rude to anyone in the past, because no one deweveres to feel like absolute crap like I do right now.

I'm sorry for your loss Dawn, but I can assure you most anybody in this community here will always be around to love and support you.

When my mother passed away unexpectedly last year and a handful of individuals were unkind about, everybody else was there to lift me up. Even now, just over a year later and I still have those select few that will text me or message me over snapchat to make sure I'm alright when they know I'm having a hard day.

While I have removed myself from the server/gaming environment, I have kept my friends close and know they will always be there when I need them. ♡

 

Oh my god.... I'm so. So sorry. That's even worse then what happened to me. It's awful to lose someone, but I make it through with God. I mean he always listens (If you don't believe in God don't judge me.) He's amazing.

 

Stay strong Dawn. I know we've had a rough past but it's no fun losing a family member.

Sorry to hear you're going through this right now. I think the most important thing to do is to accept your feelings about this and remember all the good times you've spent with him. When a grandparent dies, it's important to understand they've lived the time God gave them on Earth. He's lived to see his children have children of their own, and I believe he would want the best for you. For you to be the best person you can be, and be there for other loved ones who are dealing with the same loss you are. You may feel sad now, thinking about all you've lost. But you should remember that you feel sad now because you've had some one who has made you happy. Love your family and friends and take care of those that you still have, they won't last forever.

Sending my condenses and wishing the best for you in this hard time. My grandparents, on my mom's side, both struggle with alzheimers and it doesn't seem like they have a lot of time left. Death can take someone by surprise, and it's something that everyone's loved ones deal with in their lifetime. Mourn your grandfather today, and love your friends and family always.
