Mooville and the Greater Mooville Area are a threat to Meepcraft

There has recently been a lot of controversy over the practices of Mooville and the Greater Mooville Area (GMA). One of my concerns is that Mooville and the GMA are blackmailing players to join Mooville or at least the GMA and recieve "benefits and connections" according to @_EggsBenedict_ , however if a town doesn't join they are seemingly shamed and humiliated.
According to Eggs' personal experience in Why the Mooville GMA Damages Meep's Towny: A Plea to All Who Care for Meep's Welfare, she described that after creating her town Foodville, she was repeatedly persuaded to join the GMA. When she refused, a lot of hate and criticism was directed toward her and Foodville.
Another one of my concerns is that Mooville is stealing residents from other towns. According to Eggs, after she refused to join the GMA, all but one of her residents left for Mooville. The same thing is also happening to other Towny towns, such as Legend (according to @AdrianIsEpic) and MeepCity (according to @CasualNuker).

Another one of my concerns is the legitimacy of the GMA as a nation. The GMA as of today (26 February 2018) is not a nation, but rather a de jure nation with Mooville as its de facto capital. Say what you think below and say "yes" in my poll!

 

I certainly agree that mooville's transition into a nation would fix the problem as it would give new players more options, while keeping the issues the gma presents within their own realm.

Wat I want to know is what exactly r the benefits of joining the gma?

Is this necessarily a problem though, or is this just a large shift of power going from Mystical to the GMA? Considering at least most of the players on this thread are in Mystical, I think it’s slightly biased. The GMA is not an official nation, yet it’s growing.

Also, you say the GMA limits a new player’s options of where they want to live, but has there ever been multiple options? Most of options have always been limited to smaller towns or Legend. Nationwise, always Mystical.

So, other then instances of players saying they’ve been pressured to join the GMA, I see nothing wrong here.

The GMA should really be shut down and never reopened as it’s ruinign one part of the world and the others are just sitting there that’s why meepcity will always refuse to join no matter if we lose residents

Legend and Peachstreet have ruined HUGE amounts of the world the GMA isn't even really that big yet

 

In all honesty the GMA was started in gamma to get my staff to work more as they have a town to care and manage. It worked well enough that I brought it over to the new meep and started incorporating new towns into it. That’s literally all it is.

There arent huge benefits but it’s basically just being in the area. I can explain ig but its largely people who are friendly with me.

 

So it’s more like a club than a political entity?

 

Its more like where trying to create a down town area, but yeah I guess you could see it as a political entity

Looked over it last night literally looks like the ghettos of Detroit (irl)! Legend and Peachstreet are towns not groups in one area that is ruining that while leaving other areas are very nice and not used

 

Its sorta bias but twomoo was just trying to do something fun.

 

I feel like towns get pressured to join this

 

Ask some mayors. I Have never been asked to join.
