Mob Stacking + Dumb Mobs(?)

As he title says... Mob Stacking!

So lag has and will always be an issue so I'm suggesting that we should have a plugin that allows mob stacking.
Here is an example: StackMob

We all know that entity movements contributes to lag and I think that this plugin should help ease that up.
Considering the fact that Skyblock allows players to own spawners, this is a good idea.

Yes I'm looking at you guys too in Towny with your passive mob farms. Don't worry about insta killing the whole stack of mobs. If you watch the video in the example provided, it only kills one mob per attempt.

Add in the previous dumb mobs plugin back then to completely prevent mobs from moving. They're really not a threat considering we run on Easy difficulty (Yes we are on Hard but the mob spawning nerfs make this Easy) lol.

 

Though a decent idea, it won't fix any problems. We don't need more plugin's to fix lag, we need to fix the laggy plugins we are already using. Towny lag is not due to too many mobs, its due to inefficient plugin coding or incompatibility.

 

+1 Personally I liked when we had mob stacking, I think we should bring that back.
Also lag has been a problem as of late, and this can't hurt.

 

I do agree with you but I don't think anyone will be willing to go through the plugin list and actually check what plugins are still in use and what aren't. Though console should also provide some information about useless plugins but you know...

It's not just anti lag that this plugin is useful for. Having only 1 mob at screen is far better than looking at a bunch of mobs blocking your pov.

 

Mobs aren't really causing much lag anyways, seems unnecessary.
