Windows updated my pc and screwed it up. Minecraft is bugged out after the update and I can't join servers. It tells me the server is down for maintenance on ever server. I will be gone until further notice.

    Try squidhq or something?
You're a cool person (and Peachstreet needs your builds), we'll await your return.
Edit: I forgot to mention you're a good building teacher too.

@Qazini my pc detected a virus in the download and stopped it. I used the link @Courtneyyy gave for the third party launcher.
    --- Double Post Merged, May 28, 2017, Original Post Date: May 28, 2017 ---
I start up my launcher and it just says play offline with no update notes. there is an error code when it launches the launcher but it goes by too fast for me to screen cap. Then when I try to join any server on any version it says it is down for maintenance.

Uninstall minecraft and reinstall it if you updated your computer that may or may not help idk but can't hurt to try.

If you haven't done much on the PC since the update, you can try using a system restore to go back to before the update. As a side note, I highly suggest disabling all automatic updates for Windows.

    "Check your java install"
    You should do that

Also make sure you have no malware on your computer

I highly suggest against this. Microsoft rarely does a massive update like the creators update that may have issues, and if you get recommended to update UPDATE. It is often a security patch.

Do you work for Microsoft or something
Windows literally has like no security abilities and everyone should stop relying on the trash company at this point
    Just get an antimalware

Microsoft updates are dumb they took away my time and added 3D features

I need someone like you in my closet with a little bell attached to the ceiling. If my computer messes up, I'll just *ring-a-ling* the little bell and out you'll come and boom my computer is fixed.

I'd doubt that that application thinks that Minecraft is porn.

Ok I reinstalled java and Minecraft. I get the same error code in the beginning of the old launcher. minecraft reinstalled the new launcher which failed to install a while ago. it installed it but the page just sits there blank. bug.PNG
    --- Double Post Merged, Jun 8, 2017, Original Post Date: Jun 8, 2017 ---
Also the old launcher wont even set up anymore. I cant even hit play offline and play single player anymore. I'm glad I backed up the saves. I didn't do everything in the exact order you had.
    1. I deleted and reinstalled Java
    2. I deleted minecraft
    3. restarted my PC
    4. reinstalled minecraft.
    5. restarted PC again after it still didn't work.
    Does this order effect anything?

'C:\Program' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
