Meepchants(custom enchants)

I feel like this had been said enough now...

TOWNY IS GETTING BORING

Towny is our main thing, but everything else is receiving the updates. Towny doesn't get anything really game changing! We get new commands for communication and information, wow!

Anyways, I got this somewhere in global chat someone was talking about a fake enchant and I thought that what if we had some custom enchants?

Anyways, these would work just like normal enchants, you can get them on books, certain tools, etc. Before you say it's not possible, you are wrong!

I made a small list of enchants that could add a little twist to Towny.

Speed
Description: Makes you run faster over time
Levels: I, II
Applicable: Leggings, Boots
L1 Ability: If sprinting for 5 seconds, you gain Speed I potion. If sprinting for 10 second, you gain Speed II.
L2 Ability: Permanent Speed I potion. If sprinting for 15 seconds you gain Speed II. 30 seconds = Speed III.

Lunge
Description: Allows you to use a lunging attack on your enemies
Levels: I
Applicable: Axe, Sword
L1 Ability: Hold right click while crouching for 5 seconds will throw you forward up to 8 blocks, damaging enemies in your path
L1 Ability Damage: 2 (1 heart)

Fortress
Description: Gives you a regenerating shield
Levels: I, II, III
Applicable: Chestplate
L1 Ability: Gives you 1 absorption heart which does not regenerate unless you take off the armor and re- apply it.
L2 Ability: Gives you 2 absorption hearts which does not regenerate unless you take off the armor and re apply it.
L3 Ability: Gives you 3 absorption hearts which come back every 5 minutes or if you re-apply the armor.



I think these are a pretty good example of what we could have as custom enchants. These could also be used in KitPVP and HG.

Sounds like a lot of coding. 1.9 is coming out soon. I would wait.

Maybe just make it so there is higher unbreaking and protection. But some of these enchants would be cool. They could add /kit (name). Higher the rank the better and more kits you get.

If custom enchantments are made i rly want loads of them :3 that would actually make me pvp a lot more. +1

 

it would add different parts of god armor, if you get unlucky you get an enchant you don't want it adds a challenge to enchanting.

+ I can see this reviving the enchantment market

+/- if new enchantments aren't too op, this could make some interesting pvp battles

- I can also see that this would take a lot of time / coding

This seems to OP and would ruin the aspect of the server, seems more like rpg then towny.
