Kitpvp

Problem:

Citizens are being farmed for kills, donors are teaming instead of fighting each other.

Why this is a problem:

New players that will only have access to the citizen kits will be heavily inclined to quit the server, as happened many times before.

Donors do not grow into better pvpers; Meepcraft pvp is not a challenge.

Kitpvp is an arguably bad way for new players to earn money, as it takes a long time to get a couple of kills unless they are notably good.

Pvp teams outside of 'Donors vs Drifters' are non-existant, as donors that make up these teams never want to fight each other.

Suggestion (Basic Idea):

If a player kills someone using the Ultimate or Supreme kit, 200 Meebles should be rewarded to them.
If a player kills an Elite or Exclusive player, 150 Meebles should be awarded.
If a Premium or Vip player is killed, 75 Meebles.
A Citizen or naked player kill should only award 25 Meebles per kill, as it is unbelievably easy to kill most of them.

Intended Goals/Reasoning behind Suggestion:

-Make using a more powerful kit draw a large target sign on you by other players, while using a weaker kit making it so others are more likely to leave you alone.

-Reward skilled pvpers for going after the harder to kill players instead of avoiding them and going for the 'fresh meat'.

-Make Kitpvp is less 'Play2Win' without lessening the desire to donate for the better kits or making the citizen kits more powerful.

 

just pointing out that if any drifters are either very good or well known, people will team with them. I propose that if a drifter kills a donor they get something like 250 meebles instead of 50 or some sort of thing like that.

But then we'll have people teaming up on Ultimates and Supremes and other ranks to get the kill so the donators might not find fun in it anymore.

 

I don't find it too hard to make money from kit, but then again I am teamed with quite a few donors. I do agree with the suggestion though.

 

This is what I do, when I reconize a Drifter with skills in Kit, I usually ignore them, so I dont kill them.

But I would like the idea for Drifters to get 250 meebles per kill. And if you're VIP+ and using Cit-Kit, you get 50 meebles, like normaly. It would help them to make more money to donate.

Some ranks do use Citisen kits and it isnt that hard.

SOULUTION:

Learn to fight for donate.

It sure would suck if donors got a taste of their own medicine.

 

Or you could get better at pvp, earn enough to donate, and stop whining

Seriously, it's not that hard to team up with some friends and do some damage with citizen kits.

 

Get VIP for gods sake. It's not hard, takes like 6 hours mining netherrack.

 

It is not a problem because people have donated to the server and Meepcraft wants to give them something nice in return. If you think this is so unfair just donate and you get a donator kit.

 

I'll stop whining and buy a rank when this server stops using illegal methods to gain money.

I like the overall idea but this would have to be changed as current ranks do not equally equate to the OPness of kits.

 

Though i do like the idea of getting different amount of money it is just to hard to implement as you would have to code a bunch of different variables which would come with a bunch of different problems as well. Also the underlying problem is the UNFAIR kits not the ranks! Fix the KITS and the ranks won't be a problem! There are some citizens (aka kwags, docta BEFORE donating, etc.) who do a real good job in kitpvp. But I'm also thinking of letting the citizens have a chance.
