Kitpvp Rule tweaks

In the recent past whenever i pvp a player with large ping due to their internet connection they have a large range and sometimes freeze waiting for the server to respond. This has been happening more and more often now with more people and many have been blamed for using a low angle form of killaura, which is very understandable. My suggestion is that players with high ping should be asked to try and resolve their connection issues or to leave kitpvp until their connection is better. For staff, this may be a lot to ask and is very hard to watch for but i have seen a large drop in kitpvp activity because of this in its growing frequency.

I believe that this would not be a very good rule due to the fact that some people are stuck with poor internet connection and truly there is no fixing your ping, if you ping is bad its bad. If this rule was passed alot of people with bad ping would be left out and some people may be very unhappy for being left out of kitpvp and maybe even leave the server due to the fact of not being able to pvp. Alot the time I do see people with bad ping not being able to hit them or them not being able to hit me but I learned to deal with it after awhile and im sure they adapt with it as well. Interesting rule but it would be a big hassle for staff to manage this rule.

 

Say i were to go into kitpvp with ping of 100ms (not bad, pretty standard connection) and someone came in with 300ms (bad). The player with the bad ping of 300ms would be ahead of their actual hitbox and would appear to have the range that killaura provides. The problem with this is that it poses an unfair advantage and makes it very hard to kill that player.

Actually to connect to meepcraft takes pretty decent connection and then to play the most demanding server in its need to have good response time would mean you would have a way to have good connection, otherwise most players would get mad at their connection and leave. This suggestion comes in when and only when that player has an unfair advantage due to his/her connection.

 

So you are basically making having lag illegal?

No, a player can have lag all they want, however when it starts to pose as an unfair advantage, such as hitbox displacement and increased range, then it would be a kick

 

Oh Im laggy so I HAVE TO LEAVE?????? Pfffft no.

 

The intent of this post was not to remove laggy players but to remove players with unfair advantages due to their latency.

 

Most the time when i play against laggy players I have not come across any unfair advantages...... -1

 

Their fault they have crap internet

 

Its not as much about having "crap internet" as it is affecting players who play with good internet and cannot hit the player due to their lag.

 

I can get up to 9ms on meep, fighting 300ms fighters is not that difficult

 

i hit around 52ms but when i fight 300ms players i cannot even view their hitbox via f3+b and they are shown hitting me way out of my range

 

"Stop having lag or you'll be banned" one of the worst suggestions I've seen in a while.

Making extreme lag illegal is pretty dumb.

 

I have laggy internet and a bad comp (a windows 7 laptop) (century link in my area is bad) so I'm banished from kit wow it's not my fault that my family is poor and can't afford good tech and becuse my family is poor I'm banned from kit that's is toltaly unfair you should play on crappy internet and an old laptop and see how it feels
