    G'day, I have some miscellaneous ideas for change on meep. They're all random and mixed but Feel free to use any of them :D

    Jobs Reform ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Right now, jobs have become too grindey, boring and really screws up the economy. So here are some options, I suppose:

    Remove Meeble Rewards

    I believe we should introduce a new reward system for jobs goods, instead of just providing meebles. This would reduce the economy being spammed whilst also creating a new incentive to gain new tools and stuff. A new specialised job currency could be called "bux."


    Merge Jobs

    We have a lot of jobs right now and it can be confusing. We could merge Miner and Digger for instance, and integrate their benefits into the job tiers listed below.
    We do not need like 20 jobs, and having different Miner/Digger is confusing. Merge the benefits.

    We could even just simplify it into 3/4 categories;

    •Miner/Digger
    •Hunter
    •Crafter(artistry, blacksmith etc etc)
    •Builder

    Different Job Tiers

    Each individual job, or perhaps jobs in general will have a system where instead of just levels, there will be tiers. These tiers will replace the level rewards and will give people different rewards, or commands. However, some tiers as explained below will be permanent, whilst others will be seasonal. This means once a season ends, people will lose their progress in the temporary competitive tiers but not in the standard tiers.

    Standard Tiers
    Standard tiers are permanent, however only go up to level 100. Once someone passed level 100, they enter the competitive tier(explained below). They go up to level 100 and give people different rewards in different jobs, like the current system in place now. I've based this example off a new "Miner" job, that combines both digger and miner. This is all just theoretical and practically, it would work differently. All perks here are permanent.

    Bronze
    Bronze is the most basic tier. Mainly used for levelling up.

    I. 1xp per block mined. Only covers stone and dirt. (Level 1-5)
    II. 1xp per block mined. 1.5xp for andesite and other misc minerals. (Level 6-10)
    III. 1xp per block mined. 1.5xp for andesite and other misc minerals, 2xp for ore. (11-15)

    Silver
    Silver is the tier after basic. It introduces the Jobs Shop mechanic and a way to earn BUX - the currency for jobs. However, at the start a limited selection of tools are available.
    I. Same xp as previously, however o.1bux is earned per block mined. No available tools at this stage. (Level 16-20)
    II. Perk - Basic tools and shop unlocked. Iron shovels and pickaxes unlocked in the jobs shop. (Level 21-30)
    III. Improved tools unlocked, which now include iron tools with enchantments. NOT OP and without unbreaking/mending. (Level 31-40)

    Gold
    Gold tier introduces a mix of tools and increases in XP.
    I. Introduces bonus tools, which can be used to increase XP earned on jobs. These will be bought using the "bux" currency too. (Level 41-50)
    II. Increase in XP earned, from 1xp-2xp for example. Increase in bux earned.
    III. Perk Introduced vein miner shovel. (Level 51-60)

    Diamond Tier
    Diamond Tier includes increases in XP and Bux, as well as some new perks.
    I. Introduces better bonus tools. Diamond with enchantments (Level 61-70)
    II. Increase in XP earned, from 1xp-2xp for example. Increase in bux earned. (Level 71-80)
    III. Perk Introduced /nv. (Level 81-90)

    Netherite Tier
    Netherite tier includes one special, very OP perk.
    I. Silk Touch Mining for Spawners (Level 91-100)


    Competitive Tiers
    Competitive tiers will last for one season. Will also reveal a new, competitive shop. At the end of the season, the highest ranked person in a job may receive a reward like a rank upgrade or a limited edition item. The rewards per tier will change per season, but lower tier rewards may stay the same so that people will have to get back to that point to get the perk back.


    Gold Digger
    Introduces new perks, and access to the limited edition shop.

    I. 3xp Per block, and access to limited edition shop(cosmetics). (Level 100-119)
    II. /haste on introduced (Level 120-139)
    III. Additional access to shop(Level 140-159)

    Mining Tycoon

    I. Access to all items in the shop. (Level 160-179)
    II.
    Something else (Level 180-199)


    Kings
    King Tier won't have anything special, though the highest leveled king will get a very special reward, like a nutcracker or something.
    I. Level 200+ Rewards for top 20, top 5 and for the top 1 a rank upgrade or smth if applicable.

    Again, thats just one idea and with the current economy not sure if it would work. Feel free to edit it or anything.

    Command Reform ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Introduce /warp
    Instead of /warp showing warps, make it instead provide users with a visual display of things they can go to. Kind of like the compass thing on hypixel, where players can then click on an item to go to that warp.

    /Report
    Some ezy sheet to report another player, for all the snitchy meepers. Would essentially, make the reporting process far more simple.

    For example, just do /report <player> then select an option. Options will be listen in a book prompt, and will include stuff like language. If you tick language, staff members will then go to prism at the time or something making the process easier.

    /Perks
    Will open an interactive list of perks per rank, or perks available to you due to jobs.

    /towns, /creative, /parkour for easier warps.

    Cusomise /seen

    Maybe give people the opportunity to customise their own /seen a bit? Achievements, etc.

    Spawn Ideas ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    We should probably have different regions in spawn. The centre of spawn will be an easy to access area, whilst the surrounding regions will have different areas that could be used for quests/parkour, in line with the minigame concept. We could also incorporate the tutorial into the main spawn too.

    Districts could include for Example;

    Warp Zone: Centre of spawn, easy warps to important areas.
    Spawn Minigames: Spleef, etc. around warp zone.
    The Mountain District: For Quests, etc
    The Desert: ""
    The Caves: ""
    Donor Spawn area
    Staff Spawn area
    Hall of fame
    (Famous Meepers)
    Hall of shame (Bad Meepers)

    Districts would probably be used to complete certain missions involving npcs. It would be pretty cool if we could name spawn something like Seasonal(soz for stealing the name), something unique like a name for a land. Spawn can be spawn, but it can also be a land for adventure I guess.

    We could even morph dungeons into the new spawn concept, or this new "land." A dungeon inside a massive statue of clue for instance, would be interesting.

    If we wanted to, we could incorporate spawn into the parkour world so parkour is easily accessible and liked to spawn? Just an idea. Would also allow us to build parkour in spawn.

    All old spawns should probably be converted into parkour, or like become infected maps idk. Reuse and Recycle.

    Minigame Concepts ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    As much as people hate minigames and want to focus on towny, a LOT of new players get sick of towny and leave, especially during my time. We need some minigames, with like a single player mode to keep them occupied too.

    Meepcraft should have some minigames that can be played on single players. These could follow a quest style concept with a story as well as arena combat for example.

    These minigames could be played as single player or multiplayer. The single-player mode would follow the style of a single player game, with a storyline or something.

    Multiplayer could be competitive with a similar tier concept as discussed in jobs.

    Minigames could, and should include variants of seasonal events we've used in the past. They should have levels/rewards and special badges or something in the game. Can be competitive, with special rewards/kits in game.

    We could have guilds for minigames.

    Redo/Rename Towny Beta/Alpha | End Towny Extreme ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If we want to restart the eco, we should probably start fresh. I'm all for the idea of a unified world instead of having a seperate extreme/standard towny. HOWEVER, people still have homes and stuff on the current towny world, and I'm pretty sure people like clue would be really pissed if you tried to remove anything.

    We need a whole economy that starts from scratch, which hasn't been influenced by floods of meebles from voting and stuff. The new economy should be stricter and should not be flooded with an infinite supply of meebles, rather should be quite restricted(not an economist tho). Reika suggested that we get rid of gambling or make it better for the house, which I think would be excellent. That would help remove excessive meebles from the economy and bring back that feeling of achievement and challenge in saving up enough meebles for a town.

    Towny Extreme should be removed, but important things like dungeons could be incorporated into the main towny world.

    With regard to towny, we should also try to make our towny somewhat different in comparison to other servers. If we have the exact same plugin to earthmc, what makes us unique?

    Towny Extreme was an interesting idea, but never worked. Delete but reuse it for a new towny world.

    A new towny world should, if possible include a customised version of the plugin - to make the experience on meepcraft unique, with perhaps additional mechanics? Like(for example), sub-mayors for town outposts, the option to annex a town(as suggested earlier), special plots for railways, contactors that are like temporary staff for a town which they are not in etc.

    To be honest, we need to focus on minigames too imho. Towny on its own, ye ik ppl like it but ppl get bored and they need to be engaged with other gamemodes and a variety. Because towny only works with quite a few players, and we gotta get there.

    Community Representatives ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    EDIT: This was previously suggested, refer to previous posts but I have a similar idea.

    We could have "community representatives" or a "community board" which is elected by the community which represents player interests. They would be like the middle ground between players and staff. Kind of like semi-staff.

    Can have a "President," "Vice President" and 3 other members. Like a small council or something that deals with community issues. We could also have individual committees that offer support for certain elements of the server.

    In regards to committees, there can be an economic one, minigame one, etc etc.

    Comarch World~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    We could have a world, like creative where meepers get a large amount of space for themselves which they can use for a project, that they may want to be used on the server.

    For instance, here the community could design a parkour course for the future. If their parkour course is accepted, they may be rewarded/credited. In this world, individuals should have access to worldedit perms in their area.


    New Players Compass ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~


    We could have a compass for new players for the first 2 weeks, like the one on hypixel. Just an idea. The compass could be in the leftest slot in the hotbar. When opened, it will show certain servers in block form - hovering over them will show an overview, clicking will warp.


    Reuse Assets ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~


    We have soo much stuff which we don't use, whether that be the city in legend or like former spawns and stuff. If we convert these into parkours, pvp maps, etc. - we can give them new life whilst also helping reduce the strain on developing/enhancing/giving variety to gamemodes.

    Alcatraz ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    A special world, with alternative punishment. Instead of banning meepers, we sent them to an island where they are given random tasks which they need to complete over a long period of time. I.e. mining 20,000 blocks in different locations, etc etc. Like hard labour I suppose.

    Advertising+ New Players~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    We can try paying certain influencers/memey people if we have the funds to do so, it seems to be a good investment I guess.

    In addition, a lot of new players always ask about minigames like infected/ctf/hungergames - as much as I believe towny should be the focus, we should have these available to keep the people who get sick of towny with us. Meep can't "just" be a towny server.

    Have the Community vote on a new set of rules ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Just an idea. We could have something like a "meepcraft" constitution that is voted on by the members of the server.

    Have a Proper Division of Teams ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    For example, we could get some more meepers on board with things like an economic committee, quest design committee etc.

    Pilots~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Before Meep reveals a new gamemode/idea, there should be some meepcrafters who test it our first and provide feedback.

    Random Suggestions~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    These aren't... that good.

    Artificially Increase Player Count
    Yeah this is a "morally wrong" move, but you gotta do what you gotta do. If we artificially increase the player count, with "fake player" global chat visible to newbies only, that could make meep seem bigger than it is. Cluelessklutz stated he had the plugin or whatnot to do it on discord earlier... so

    Introduce Limit on Llama Ownership
    Too many llamas is bad. If ppl have too much llamas, eliminate and exterminate.

    Cake Clicker but Hit Staff
    Instead of clicking cakes, you hit staff. Very nice.

    NPC Staff in towns

    Idk the use, but would be funny if clue popped up next to you for a sec then disappeared. Could have a reward for hunting a wild qazini for instance.

    Bring Back the Stock Market
    Everyone liked stocks, I guess. But I think if we were to bring it back, or like a variable gold eco thing we should probably do it with a fresh economy.

    Deal With Meepcraft Bedrock Edition
    Can't have copycat servers, amirite.

    /poison <player>
    Dislike Someone? /Poison them for 50k meebles.

    Make me staff
    I may be useless and clueless...

    In addition to these ideas I've suggested, I've also decided to include ideas from other people below:

    (Silver01) Party chat will remain unmoderated unless these exceptions occur:

    1. an act against the server that is unrelated to chat rules (if problems in global happen from private chats, just punish for what is said in global. that will solve itself without private chats being read)
    2. someone's actual legitimate safety is threatened in an immediate case
    3. people are being put in private chats deceptively with the intention of harassment if a private chat is reported for reasons otherwise, encourage the person reporting to leave. if harassment persists after they leave, then take action people are going to make inappropriate jokes and remarks in private chats, even about really sensitive topics such as [censored] in general. however, as long as everyone in the chat either consents or has the right to leave, actions should not be taken unless it breaks these rules or a compelling argument can be made





    Again, these are all randoms ideas I pre much made up on the spot. Feel free to use any lmao.

    Honestly think the server needs the opposite. This entire idea can basically explain skyblock that's "planning" to come out. The thing with the server now is that they release constant minigames or gamemodes that, particularly no one asked for (except a very small minority or even staff). Activities like warlords, summer event, or even skyblock wasn't suggested by a large majority, thus having poor endings (excluding skyblock). The server, years ago, was able to focus solely on towny aspects and then work outwards by adding particularly new minigames like ctf or infected. For skyblock itself, the only "perk" coming out of it is that you get to talk to your friends on the server while playing (what it seems to be) a generic skyblock minigame with a meepcraft twist. Hypixel and many other servers perfected skyblock to their own respect and the minority specifically looking into to those minigames have the option to go there. As much as the parkour revamp (in a way a minigame) was nice and definitely was an improvement, it doesn't bring players back. ALso guild idea i sjust copying too much into Hypixel and probs should be left out lmao.

    Again, it's a towny server, it should at least focus on the aspects of towny then wing outwards. Also, I'm pretty sure there is outdated ads that mislead many new players.

    If only... Thing is this section basically can be excused as "this is why we have comarch/dev/pvp." Doesn't seem as entirely effective as it seems. Kinda hoped there was still an admin position that actually focused on community centered ideas, complaints, or concerns rather than having admins specifically help do tech or dev stuff.

    +1 was said multiple occasions in meep general and was never addressed or implemented but, hopefully soon (idk anymore lol)

    I could absolutely see some of the mini-games suggestions working to help save Meep. I don't get why people are like "oh Hypixel does something similar, so we have to drop this great idea that works because we have to be 100% original." Basically all I'm saying is, if it works for another server, what's stopping us from implementing something similar? You can add your own touch to a working system and make it original too! Minigames are the only thing that can save Meepcraft.

    Also, I don't know about the jobs suggestion. I would recommend getting rid of it, it just makes players grind for hours which can keep them online but how long can you realistically chop down trees before getting bored?

    No, absolutely not. There is no good that can come from this. As much as I love Viperfan and Kat (I guess, sorry I don't know you very well), it seems like you'd be putting people who aren't really qualified or want to be staff in a position where they're moderating players. Also their clan of people who simp up to them is kinda toxic. Let's make Meep less toxic again.

    These are some pretty cool ideas, especially the one I quoted. As much as I like mining terracotta for hours, (and breaking my magma pickaxe :() spicing up jobs could be refreshing, especially for new meepers.

    Alright some thoughts:

    Spawn: It's not meepcraft unless you have a huge spawn that is completely empty and confusing
    Minigames: are cool but every server and their mother does them. What this server *did* really well was towny.
    Community representatives: would be cool but I in no way trust staff to either listen oo acknowledge any part of it.
    Party chat: Staff can go fuck themselves for that one, still one of the worst decisions they made

    This already happens quite often.

    @BooBear1227 and the rest of moderation staff are working on redoing the rules. The community will be able to provide their thoughts and feedback before it is implemented. Feel free to message any modstaff if you have any questions.
    This already exists. However we plan on making it clear who is working on what team later.
    We plan on Beta'ing new game modes and maps whenever possible from now on

    While we like the creativity of these ideas we have decided to deny this for the time being.
    These would all be neat quality of life improvements however we do not feel they are worth the time to develop at the moment.
    Currently we are working on a simple small spawn that focuses on player retention.
    Denied, we currently are focusing development on towny. Minigame rewards will be buffed though.
    We currently do not have the budget at the moment.
    In the future we recommend splitting mass suggestion posts into multiple suggestion posts.
