I Need Help ASAP! EDIT: It's all good :D

I'm in trouble... big trouble.

So I few hours ago I was happily playing meepcraft before I had to go to dinner. About an hour later I come back and my laptops resolution is smaller. Then when I try to open minecraft it comes up with this: http://imgur.com/LKZLXRI

So now I can't play minecraft cause my graphics driver is all messed up. I tried doing what the stuff said on the 'Fix the problem' page but the examples there didn't match my computer.

If anyone has experienced similar problems or knows how to fix this, please tell me how! I am desperate!
I am running Windows 8.

First thing I tried xD

 

Ok so figure out what GPU or graphics processing unit you have, amd hd, radeon or nvida gtx if you don't know how google how figure out what GPU you have on youtube
From there go to what ever company your GPU is, say AMD for example
Navigate to their drivers page and put in what GPU you have then download and install the latest drivers. If you laptop is really old your open gl might not be new enough

 

It says the my GPU is the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter and that it was installed last night.
I can't seem to find an update page for this, so maybe the problem is that Minecraft doesn't work with this driver?

 

Well their is a problem with your drivers thats for sure how old is the laptop?

 

That's some integrated crap, I bet you have a regular GPU as well. Right click "Computer" and click on "Properties", navigate to the left panel and click on "Device Manager". Click on the "Display Adapters" icon and tell us what's listed in it.

YAY! I fixed it!

What I did was, I went into 'Device Managers' click under 'Display Adapters' then clicked on 'Microsoft Basic Display Adapter' and then clicked on Update and it changed the driver back to my Intel one.

Well "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" is just an emergency Graphic adapter from windows, it says absolutely nothing about his actual GPU, whether it be integrated or dedicated. I want him to list us his actual GPU and download a driver directly. If he has an integrated GPU, it will most likely be of the INTEL HD series.

EDIT: Well... never mind, problem fixed

 

The days I used to game on a mac using intel hd 4400. I'm so spoiled with the hundreds of fps on my gaming build
