Hotels Plugin?

I think that Meepcraft should add this plugin to the server: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/hotels/
This is a plugin called Hotels, and each town should contain a couple hotels for the people that don't have homes. Especially people who don't feel like building or can't afford a plot. This would be much easier in my opinion and I hope you support my idea.

Yes! Lots of people make hotels and they're never used. If there was a full on plugin with them, that would be awesome.

This actually sounds legitimately good, I've been wanting to make a hotel but I know that there are several obstacles that would be hard to overcome doing so...

This is a good idea in theory but I don't see how it would be practical with towny. The plots would interfere.

 

If you want a place to stay for a brief amount of time, a hotel's a good start. There's no point occupying a whole plot and be expected to build something on it (or pay taxes every day?) if something smaller with less cost can give you the same jumpstart that you need to survive on the server. I think it's a good idea, because it's like running a mini-town and is more realistic for a towny, like shops are.

 

I don't think this is a good idea.
First off, like Jalapeños said, the plots would interfere. Second, There really is no need to stay at a hotel for a night.. Plus, night on minecraft or a night irl? If you don't have a place to stay mini games is a good place to burn time. /spawn works too.

It seems basically pointless since we have towny. Most players pretty can afford a plot, and most towns give them for free with no taxes.

Instead of this I say give assistants+ access to something like /plotwand that allows them to outline the borders of a plot rather than having them be pre-set by the server. This encompasses the hotel idea and would give town-staff much greater control over their town. As for just the hotel idea, it's impractical because it will interfere with the regular pre-set plot borders in towny at this time.

Ive always loved this idea. The issue is that the plugin is large and it interferes with the plot perms. In the end the risk of adding this and messing things up just isnt worth the reward. Im with you though. Hotels would be awesome! Maybe when we redo towny we can find a way to make plots cubes so they have a top and bottom height level. Custom plugin would be sick! =D Ill add to trello under ideas for towny. I cant make any promises though.

 

The prices of plots are cheap enough that hotels are not really needed.
