Extreme world trading post

Make a trading post where players can teleport for item exchange.

We might consider these modifications:

• Limit the number of times you can go there in a period of time (e.g. 1/day, 2/day, 1/week)
• Add a cost for the teleportation. Examples:
  • Trading post note
    • Single use item which teleports player to trading post after a wait period
      
    • Dropped by certain dungeon mobs/bosses
    • Crafted in advanced crafting table
  • Skull fee
    • Teleports player to trading post after using a command
    • Fixed fee (10,000 skulls, for example)
    • Percentage of skull balance (30% of skull balance, for example)
      • Might be circumvented by depositing money in town bank
  • Trading post portal opener
    • Single use item which opens a portal to the trading post
    • Dropped by dungeon mobs/bosses
    • Crafted in advanced crafting table
    • The portal appears within a certain radius of the player who uses the item
    • The portal can be used by any player

 

/warp extreme was removed for the purpose of forcing players to create infrastructure and leaving the safety of their towns. This suggestions would just replace /warp extreme for the purpose it was being used for; trading.

a /warp extreme note is being added that can be crafted in the advanced crafting table. So your suggestion for that is already in the works!

The last idea would be an interesting suggestion (to be able to craft a portable trading post that only opens for a set period of time)

 

if there were end portals throughout the world, then the end would make a great trading post.

1. it'd probably still be wild, so pvp enabled leaving opportunity for backstabbing
2. the strongholds could be everywhere, so you just go in to the end and no matter where you enter, you're in the same end dimension as everyone else
3. the end exit portal takes you to your bed spawn, so once trading is done, you're right back home.

 

Denied - we discussed an option that would allow trading to continue in the town hall for a function called /treaty to allow you to trade with another player more easily as well as a /trade function.
