    Hi @Fuzzlr, since @Burritoh surpassed the supposed to be 100% monthly donation goal, do you have any plans what to use on this more than $832.50 USD he donated on MeepCraft? We all know there would be more so.... Do you have any plans what to spend it on? A new minigame? Fix some bugged plugins? Add a new feature? Advertisements?

    We, the community, would like to know what you are going to spend on this such big amount. ($832.50 = 39,127 PHP) !!

    Good question. Over the past few weeks we have increased our budget for development by adding two new developers. Our budget for development is now larger than it has been in previous months. Sales have been dropping overall for the past few months and the money is being used to cover expenses so that we are more comfortably able to spend more money on advertising.

    So when you look at the short term progress we have made with rank sales, yes, the results are outstanding, but when you look at the bigger picture the sale is short-lived and we do still collect a comparably significant amount on non-sale days. Statistically, the amount collected during the sale is about the same as any of our other large sales, and most recently our holiday sale had a comparable amount of rank sales.

    Mojang is doing something right in that they are encouraging Minecraft server businesses to reveal what they truly are, businesses. The term that is traditionally used for rank sales, "donations", is actually misleading because users are paying money in exchange for a digital product.

    We have always been transparent with our expenses. In the past I have made no secret that I do take a small portion of the profits made from MeepCraft in exchange for the hours I work. At this point I can say that I have other sources of revenue from other projects and business to keep up with my own personal expenses. Therefore if it seems I am doing bigger and better things in my personal life, with college and recreational activities, it does not necessarily equate to mismanagement of money here on MeepCraft. If its any personal consolation to yourself, I am confident that your financial contribution to the server would be more responsibly spent here than on most other large servers today.

    I fixed your sentence.

    Answer: Shop sales go towards server costs, they are not static and they scale up as needed/possible.
    They consist of anything from simple server upkeep and data usage charges, paying tech's building new plugins/fixing old ones, to advertising on the largest server list for MC. The owner adapts every month to changing amounts, there are plenty of months where we ran cash flow negative and the owner graciously covered the costs himself.

    Since last month I have decreased the donation goal to 1/3 its original size to correspond with our average monthly sales. That is why you may believe the sales volume is a lot higher than it usually is at this point.

    It only looks amazing if you download shaders, use an hd texture pack, and look at it from a distance.
    When you're inside it, it's ugly and dysfunctional.
