I've found that most people who cry cultural appropriation don't know anything about the "appropriated culture".

    I like your attitude

It's a stupid topic. I've seen black people cry cultural appropriation when a white person wears dread locks.
Black people weren't even the first to have dreads...

I can think of two main examples that I know of.
There's this image from a lovely source we call tumblr, not usually valid, but hheyyy

And there's a incident that was on the news recently where at college, a white person was harassed by a black person for wearing deadlocks. The black girl said that deadlocks were black culture and therefore shouldn't be worn by the white person.

It's basically racism to say that I, a white american, can't follow any traditions, cultures, styles, or anything else from any other culture in the world. It's pure stupidity.

As long as it's not making fun of a different culture, trying out different things from other cultures should be encouraged.

Let's not forget the fact that when people "appropriate" a culture from Europe, nobody cares because they're white.
