    I didn’t fully understand what crossfit was (lol).
    After a quick Google, it seems like something which requires fancy equipment and body builders, though if all you want is to stay healthy and look good, just plan a workout and stick to it.
    If all you want is to train your cardiovascular and pure muscle strenght, just setup a course like this one and stick to it, no need for a gym subscription or fancy equipment. This one has majorly increased my cardiovascular capacity.
    Start with a two kilometer run, 10x5 push ups (elbows lined up with upper body, not perpendicular in order to train biceps) seperated by 1 minute intervals, and finally 50 sit-ups.

    As far as I remember cycling to work (if possible) and eating healthier serves the same purpose and costs less money

    Cross fit is a really good peogram. It relies mainly on body weight (not much incorporation of machines rather free weight) and is a high intensity workout. If you are trying to get in shape I would not start with crossfit. However it is a good course to get very familiar with the weight room ect.

    I've been bodybuilding for about a year now and came across crossfit, and it baffled me. Whats the purpose of rep strength on olympic lifts

    Honestly I think programs vary decently based on instructor / gym, but in general most of the people I know do crossfit for the application. I feel its more geared toward athletic activities / application than straight body building.
