Introduction:
Greetings my name is Colonels64. I'm currently a Supreme on Meepcraft and have been playing for a little more than a year. I really enjoy playing Meepcraft, and I would like to have another try at being staff. I was first accepted for staff about a year ago and was Helper for a few months before I resigned myself due to lack of playing time and issues caused by my IRL matters that were going on at that time. Why you should be Helper/Mod?
Whether it's in real life or in game I always find myself helping people. I enjoy Meepcraft a lot, but I want a 2nd chance at staff again so that I can do more than just play the server. I want to help the other players on a higher level than just answering the common command or towns questions newer players ask in global chat. I feel like I did my job efficiently when I was first a Helper. I constantly found myself on Modreqs learning new ways to solve problems or teaching newer players our server rules because their lack of knowledge caused a problem/misunderstanding. Between the time I resigned from staff to present day I feel like I have further developed my work ethic, problem solving, multi-tasking, and management skills thanks to my recent jobs IRL that I could transfer into my job as Helper.

Weaknesses:
During my first Helper term I feel like I constantly beat myself up over any mistake I made as staff sense I held myself to the "Need to be Perfect" expectation sense I was now representing more than just myself when helping other players. I would also feel like I wasn't that good at being staff sense I would constantly ask for confirmation on server rules with other staff or ask for help before issuing a punishment when needed. To explain that a little further I didn't want to, for example, give the incorrect time of /tempban for the rule they broke sense I was holding myself to the be perfect expectation. With my jobs I've had IRL I've learned to be more self confident in my knowledge and judgment skills. I also have learned to realize that no one is perfect and other staff will ask questions too, just because I only hear myself ask questions doesn't mean others aren't asking questions too which was one of my problems with giving myself the be perfect expectation while I was still staff.

Conclusion:
In conclusion I feel like I've made a lot of progress with my skills and character as a person to complete the job requirements of a Helper more efficiently and effectively. For the staff that remember me when I was Helper I apologize for resigning back then with little notice prior to doing so. I was leaving for IRL reasons which I believe is acceptable for resignation, but looking back on it I realize just how childish I seemed from other staff members point of view with how I went about resigning. If you hold that against me I completely understand, but I would like to assure you that I've developed quite a bit over the past year to where I wouldn't do such a thing again. As I've already stated I have developed over this past year or so into a more mature and responsible adult, and I feel I can complete this job as Helper better than my first run as staff. If you give me such a chance I would be very grateful, and wouldn't let you down. Thank you for taking the time to read my application, and I can't wait for your reply. Also any feedback by other non-staff that read this post would be appreciated.

 

You've written a very good app, but I really haven't seen you much. You have previous experience and that is a good thing. It's not timezones, because I'm only an hour behind you.
I think that if you worked on your activity, so I could see more, it'd be a +1.
But, from your app alone, you look pretty good.

I have a sense of déjà vu. With your first application I was skeptical of your commitment to the server, but your app was good so you got accepted. Not long after you got helper you disappeared for months only to reappear now with another app. I honestly don't think you'll be playing Meep 2 months from now. -1

 

Yo colonel! Talked to ya on TS (can't remember when) not too long ago, and you are very nice and take constructive criticism very well. The only thing you really have to worry about is forums activity. Now, from your app, you seem to be IG and on TS quite a bit. However, the important thing is that you be active on forums, as many players look for assistance here instead of IG. Gl!

 

Haven't seen you that much in-game. 3-12 hours?
As 618 said, forums is indeed very important since people report players with more detail than in-game.

I don't see you on a lot, but you are Ingame right now. I see you on Teamspeak quite a bit, but that's not really related to staff. Your app was pretty short, and as others said, you haven't posted on the forums in a long time, and I never see you on the forums.

This is to address the comments and concerns given so far by those who have given me feedback on my app. These aren't meant to be excuses it is just for your knowledge to let you know a bit more about my reasons or future plans to address them. With me disappearing from the server shortly after getting Helper as I stated I did have quite a few IRL problems happening at that time which hindered my game playing time and led to my resignation and temporary leave of Meepcraft, which I know doesn't sound good. I will say though shortly after my leave I was gone off for Navy bootcamp for about 2 months with no form of communication to outside world except via mailing letters, and I was on medical hold for another 2 months with again very limited access to internet or phones. I'm not saying that's an excuse for the entire time I've been gone by no means but at least understand not all of the time I was gone was in-activity in my own control. The rest of the time I've been playing PS3 mainly and balancing work, which again is no excuse that I'm trying to make. If you hold that against I understand I would probably be the same way if I were you. In terms of in-active on forums I completely agree I do need to get more active and whether I'm accepted or not I will be getting into forums more. With the last part about not really seeing me online my job, which is at an amusement park, is throwing me shifts that vary in terms of what time of day they are and that's why I am typically online late at night or not at all if they have me close. That's why I made my ranges of hours per week day and weekend day so large so that I don't make some promise for a lot of hours which my job might hold me from doing etc. Again I appreciate the feedback guys and I hope this clears up some of the concerns, even if a little bit, that you all pointed out and whether accepted or not I will work on these for future reference.

 

Yyeeaahh... I've seen you Only like once. Idk you very well, and disappearing and sudden staff app aint good start. Spend some time in Meep and then try apply for Staff, maybe that will help? Im on -.5

 

-1, I've never heard of you, although you were staff in the past. But, in your app, you seem like a nice guy and if your activity improves on all 3 aspects of MeepCraft (In- Game, The Forums, and TeamSpeak), I may change my vote !
