Changes to Preserve Alpha/Beta with Gamma

• Background

Towns Gamma is the latest craze on the server. Wild and Spawn use its inventory, too. Players' inventory are retained from before in Alpha/Beta, but only in those two worlds. In addition, minigames all apply towards your gamma balance.

• Problem

The biggest problem with Gamma is the way it is killing Alpha/Beta slowly. Players are already leaving the server just because they feel like they got reset, which was what Gamma was supposed to do. There's basically no way to make money in A/B now. While a new server shop and Wild for A/B have been planned, A/B players still feel ignored. For a lot of people, minigames were their means of making money.

• Solution

Games like Halo and Infected operate on a coins system. You may use these coins to purchase things in that minigame, and then convert them to Meebles. On the other hand, Skywars and Boomo pay you directly in Meebles (now for Gamma). So, here's what we can do to keep A/B going alongside Gamma: make all minigames reward coins!

Now, you're probably thinking, "Well, why's that such a big deal?" Allow me to explain a bit more. See, if minigames only give you coins, then only you can choose when to convert them to Meebles.
Therefore, if all minigames award coins, we can add the option to convert coins into Meebles; for either eco!

• Benefits

Essentially, this would allow players to choose where they want the money they earn in minigames to go. This would allow people who relied on minigames to still make money for their A/B town, but also for G if they wish. If this were added, Alpha and Beta wouldn't feel so cut off from the rest of the server, satisfying all the people complaining about Gamma killing A/B.

Implementation of this would give all players greater freedom, because they can choose where they want their money to be!

In addition, this would ease up the constant spam of people asking for conversions, because there could be a converted added in A/B that changes those Meebles to coins.

• FAQ

-Tech Resources?
This would require editing to the plugins used in games that award Meebles directly (Parkour, Boomo, Skywars, etc.), as well as changing the coin exchangers in Infected and Halo. However, since these are not changes to the game itself, it should be fairly easy.

-Why shouldn't all money be sent towards Gamma? Most people don't play A/B now!
While it is true A/B are pretty empty now, people will most likely start to come back to them as the initial craze over G wears off. People will want to continue their towns, and I, for one, intend to stay in A/B anyways.

-How will this affect the exchange rates?
In my opinion, the coins should be worth the same as they already are, following the 50:1 ratio of A/B Meebles to G Meebles. For example, say a Skywars coin is worth 10 Meebles in the Gamma economy. When you convert it to Meebles, it is worth 10 in Gamma, and 500 in A/B. So basically, this would retain the ratio already in place.

 

I love this idea, i still don't understand why staff or whomever, decided to release this update without a warp shop and wild. The huge exchange rate in favour of gamma means that it is not viable, without a warp shop or wild in a or b, to make money in either a or b at the moment.
