This thread explains exactly why this shouldn't happen, but I'll put the reasons below just to make it easier. The thread may be old, but it is still relevant.

I seem to remember the CRSs getting disheartened after awhile due to the sheer amount of requests they got to sell ranks.

I don't see how this effects the amount of scams. All it really does is limit the amount of rank sellers.

There is nothing stopping the community from getting together, posting in the forum a thread about rank sellers that they have encountered that were trustworthy, etc. Additionally, they can post if they scammed, and who scammed them. This might be an adequate compromise.

Certified Rank Sellers were given to people who could still end up charging back and like Antiacus said, Catotronix was a CRS.

I'm 99.9% sure Catotronix was not ever planning on paying back anything. He had charged back at least twice and knew he could abuse the term 'Certified Rank Seller' to sell ranks, make heaps of Meebles and have fun spending them with safety that he could get a refund on every cent he donated when he got bored of the game.

Besides all that, monitoring Certified Rank Sellers to assure that they won't charge back/scam isn't easy. Scammers could easily apply to be 'Certified'. The only good thing I ever thought came from CRS was that rank sellers had to be playing for a few months + be a certain rank. And in all honestly, even if people aren't actually 'Certified', this should be common knowledge to only purchase from users who have been playing for over 3 months and are at least ranked Supreme (maybe Ultimate).

These are all good reasons as to why there's no point in having CRS' again.
