Ban appeal update.

On nearly all the appeals, I see staff say things along the lines of, ''What have you learned from your ban and how can we trust you not to do xyz again?''

This is how the ban appeal format looks right now:

If we make a simple text update asking the same question below they 'Why' section, maybe people would notice and be able to answer that question.

Or conversely, we could change ''Why should we consider your appeal'' to ''What have you learned and why should we trust you to do better?''
Just a thought.

 

Whats the point in even asking as they'll all say 'I've changed and I'll never do it again'?

 

Because it's easier for both ends of the spectrum if they can say that while making the appeal.

 

+1 It'd make it easier instead of asking them what they've learned they could just say it right away. And if they just say I won't do it again then that's the point were they should actually go into detail. Good suggestion.

+1 alot of ban appeals dont have forums so they can't reply and would get denined

 

I see your point, but if they were falsely banned then the prompt your suggesting would be faulty

 

If they were falsely banned they shouldn't need to appeal.

There shouldn't be enough false appeals to justify not keeping it like this, and the maker can flat out assume that he didn't need to 'learn' anything if nothing was done. He is trustworthy because he did nothing wrong.
