Why I should be unbanned:
The main reason I'm posting this right now is that my roommate just got banned for using the same IP as me (username: 2kawaii4jail). I don't want a pissed off roommate, that makes my living conditions worse however, I still would like to play minecraft on a server I enjoy.

So I guess I can start this off with either a "This isn't actually a reason to ban me" or something that you, the staff, would really like to see. If I were to be honest, I'm not sorry for my actions, I own up to them and admit they were mine however, I apparently don't translate well from text. Immediately after I was banned, I got on a skype call with Diana and she explained that some of my comments may have came off as malicious and terrible however, my comments were meant to be far from that. I admit that here and there, in the skype chats, I would throw some crap at the admins because I was angry I was demoted. There's no denying that at some points, my comments were meant to be malicious, however, in recent times they really were not supposed to be that way.

Take the inspiration chat as a fine example, I posted a blurb about the way that some staff were dealing with a demotion. I thought it was really just strange and I didn't really agree with it so I posted my opinion on it and it was taken as malicious towards Andrew. I didn't post that to be malicious towards Andrew, I posted that to give my opinion, it just happened to be after something Andrew posted and it happened to be during a time where Andrew and I were in a heated conflict with each other.

That specific instance, I know for a fact, is not the sole reason I was banned. I'm sure that some of my private conversations were passed up to higher ranked staff members, which makes me sad because these were people I trusted and thought that they wouldn't do that. In private conversations I would joke about being the next Rosenow and I would say other things. Most of my private conversations about the server were when I was in a fit of anger, they were malicious towards the server at the time and that was because I was angry. I emphasize that these were private conversations (on Skype no less!) in fits of anger that had no connotation of how I would act a mere 5 minutes after that.

In private conversations I've had, I've told staff members off, I've said strong explicatives about the server and staff members, and even the people I was having a conversation with. I did not think that they would be published to others. I try to keep my private conversations private.

Now I think I really need to address this just for my sake. Skype isn't a valid form of evidence. Although I admit wholeheartedly that whatever I was banned for, I probably said (I have seen no evidence relating to my ban), Skype logs can be easily forged, there is no way to tell if they are 100% true and you cannot take out what the person's attitude is in that conversation. Joking about certain things can have a malicious edge to them, especially with my sometimes dark humor. I would like to emphasize the point that in no way did my Skype interactions and conversations come out in game or on the forums or on teamspeak, I kept them seperate. If I had an argument with someone on Skype and saw them in game I'd jump up and down and give them a flower all the same. The community saw none of the actions I committed because I knew that they shouldn't see it. The community wouldn't have known about this either had I not been banned.

I'd be happy to respond to anything else however, I believe that admins are the only ones with any "proof" (see above paragraph for reasoning on quotation marks) on this situation so, I'd appreciate it if other staff members didn't chime in on this ban appeal unless they somehow have proof. I'd answer any question in a private message on the forums.

Just one last bit before I post this thread, I 100% assure you, 2kawaii4jail is my roommate. That account is exclusively hers. She's with her parents until December 13th, I don't know any way we could help the situation in getting her account unbanned for having the same IP as me until then. I'm open for options on that.

I guess I'd like to add to this by saying, I have no intention of harming the server and no intention of harming the staff team in any way. I'm putting staff behind me and really focusing on more things closer to home. I have finals coming up and then I'm moving states, there's really no time for me to even hurt the server and/or staff team if I truly wanted to hurt the staff team.

I also have no intentions of joining staff ever again, considering the reason why I was banned was because of staff chat there's no possibility of me "repeating" my actions once I get back on the server.

 

I understand you asked me not to respond here, but I have some things to say... It seems you have taken the wrong thing out of your ban. I believe the quote was something similar to, "I am going to resign on December 2nd if I don't get Super back. If I have to resign, I will expose everything staff is." Notice, this is not a direct quote. I understand that you were angry for being demoted, but this was NOT the path you should have taken. To threaten the staff team, having content to actually do so or not, is considered an act against the server. This made it seem like you were throwing a huge baby fit simply because you weren't getting your way. Again, not the way to go. From my understanding you had problems with other staff members that you went to them about, not in the most appropriate way, but I guess I have to give you credit for going to them at least. I will admit, I thought your attitude after your demotion was absolutely crazy. The lashing out that you did at your fellow team mates was nothing short of ridiculous. I won't even give examples here, we have talked about this before. We were a TEAM, Abby. We build each other up, not tear each other down. By the way.. THIS is being "blunt". You chose to seemingly "sugar-coat" your ban reason/demotion, so I felt this was very necessary. If you feel the need, you have my skype info.. feel free to discuss something with me.

 

You quote that however, I have spent about ~30 minutes going through my skype history and have yet to see that quote pop anywhere up, once again proving a point I had made that.

I didn't mean to seem like I was sugar coating it, guess it came out that way.

If this quote was true (which again, no evidence that it is, you said yourself it isn't a direct quotation and I can't find it on my skype logs!), I would have said it in the day of my demotion, that is where the most negative thoughts I expressed came out, at least in my opinion. I have had skype conversations with Boo, who was really a rock for me in my demotion, about possibly asking about being a tech for the server because I wanted to fix the bugs. But I do not have the means, nor time to nor the desire to be quite frank. The only thing I want to do is go back to my town, be mayor, get new players plots and not have an angry roommate. (Who is quite angry, I really want to sort that out before anything else)

 

"Valid proof" or not, Abby... You and I both know what you said. You just admitted to the entire server that you are fake and were "sick of pretending to be a nice person". Your snarky "I'm not sorry" just makes me wish I could deny this. Ridiculous coming from an ex-staff member.

 

All staff members put on a smile smile face while doing their job, I did exactly that, it wasn't being fake, it was playing a role. I'm not advocating myself to be fake, I believe I have said many a time "I am not a nice person" in several chats, even with you there to witness it. I never sold myself as nice except when in the face of the community because that is what a staff member needed to do.

The "I'm not sorry" is not intended to be snarky. I am 100% not sorry for my actions however, I admit that they were mine (with valid proof provided might I add now) however, I said them as my true self and I don't believe I should apologize for things that were said because it won't make then not said, it won't take away the sting. What I said will always be with those who took it to heart, I've been in situations like this before and saying sorry doesn't help.

I believe you're reading my ban appeal in the wrong light. Perhaps you could talk to Diana as well about the way that text comes off versus actual talking. I'm happy to talk things out on skype with people, I just want to verbalize them if we're going to do that because if I'm verbally talking to people you will know when I'm being snarky, rude, sad, etc.

 

As I clearly will not be deciding this ban appeal, I am going to continue this on Skype with you.

 

Regardless of my ban, can we please sort out the banning of my roommate, she did nothing wrong!

Apparently I need to address this because my words have been twisted in some of the chats.
The email tied to the google docs I wrote was deleted because it was my high school email (aka tied to my high school)
I have no access to those google docs.
I can rewrite then but, I would like to have an admin look at my appeal first.

I'm not a fan of "bumping" threads but this is actually being a slight detriment to my health. I have an anxiety disorder and with a move about to happen, a roommate breathing down my neck and finals happening, this being up is not helping me whatsoever. I was wondering if there's any way I could talk to an admin on teamspeak about this. I find that its practically fruitless to communicate on skype with people.
